In the hunting lodge you are away from home for a while, but experience the coziness of home. A cozy residence with a unique character where you can enjoy the sunset every evening.

The ideal stay for a special night with the whole family. The cabin with its own outdoor terrace immediately feels pleasant and warm. You don't even really need to turn on the pellet stove for that!

This accommodation offers everything you need to retreat, unwind and recharge. Camping Vinkenhof is a small-scale, atmospheric family campsite at the foot of the Keutenberg with a beautiful location in the Limburg hills. Guests greatly appreciate the Limburg hospitality and the friendly, helpful staff. The clean sanitary facilities, heated swimming pool and various play equipment complete the stay, while the artificial grass on the comfort pitches is particularly valued. The campsite is an ideal base for hiking and cycling tours through the area, with Valkenburg within cycling distance and excellent public transport connections.

    We stayed for almost two weeks; we were a bit disappointed when we arrived. We’d booked “Comfort+” with private restroom facilities, but we’d never stayed in such small sites before—and certainly not with restroom stalls that were far too cramped. As a person with a disability, I was immediately assisted with a key for the accessible shower. That was handled nicely. Even though the campsite was small and we couldn’t fit our caravan, awning, and canopy (since we also had to find a spot for the car on the site), we really enjoyed the friendly and cozy atmosphere!
    We think having only one washing machine and one dryer at the campground during peak season—both of which frequently malfunction—is far too few. Our 10-year-old son did enjoy the pool and the entertainment. What we do find concerning, however, is that there’s no age limit for the games. So it often happened that a 4-year-old would try to join an activity at 8 p.m., only to get way too tired and end up leaving. An “8+” age limit would be better at that time and would also be preferred by the older children at the campground.
    We’d already heard from guests at the campground that there are evenings when, during certain activities, everyone runs around the campground and is allowed to look under cars or behind caravans and tents, for example. We didn’t find this very pleasant or safe either.
    The location of the activities—for example, with Vinkie and his music—is also very strange. They’re held on the ground, all together in front of the barrier, or in the activity shed, where the washing machine and dryer are also located—a place you simply can’t access once it’s packed with parents and children.
    We wouldn’t come back here again, but the surroundings are beautiful and, as I said, there’s a nice, friendly atmosphere both on and off the campground.

    Bijna 2 weken gestaan, we begonnen wat teleurgesteld bij onze aankomst. We hadden comfort + geboekt met privé sanitair, maar wij hebben nog niet eerder zulke kleine plekken gehad en ook zeker niet met de veel te krappe sanitair hokjes. Ik als minder valide werd wel gelijk geholpen met een sleutel voor de minder valide douche. Netjes opgelost. Ondanks dat de camping plek klein was en wij geen caravan, voortent en luifel kwijt konden (omdat ook de auto nog ergens geplaatst moest worden op de plek) vonden wij de sfeer wel erg fijn en gemoedelijk!
    1 wasmachine en 1 droger op de camping in het hoogseizoen die ook beide regelmatig niet goed functioneren, vinden wij erg weinig. Voor onze 10 jarige zoon wel fijn dat er een zwembad is en animatie. Wat we dan wel een punt van aandacht vinden is dat er geen leeftijds grens is aan de spellen. Zo gebeurde het dus regelmatig dat een 4 jarige zich probeert aan te sluiten bij een activiteit om 8 uur savonds die dan vervolgens veel te moe is en er ook weer vandoor gaat. 8+ zal op dat tijdstip beter zijn en ook gewenst bij de wat oudere kinderen op de camping.
    Van gasten op de camping hoorden we al dat er avonden zijn dat ze met sommige activiteitrn allemaal rondrennen over de camping en krijgen ze toestemming om bijv ook onder auto's of achter caravans/tenten te zoeken. Dit vonden wij ook niet zo fijn en veilig.
    Ook de plaats waar de activiteit is bijv met Vinkie en zn muziek is erg raar. Namelijk op de grond met z'n allen voor de slagboom, of in het activiteiten hok, waar ook de wasmachine en droger staan, waar je dan ook met geen mogelijkheid weer bij komt als het vol staat met ouders en kinderen.
    Wij zouden hier niet meer terugkomen maar de omgeving is prachtig en zoals ik al zei fijne gemoedelijke sfeer op en buiten de camping.

    The campground offers excellent facilities, including a swimming pool and entertainment, and is known for its friendly owners and staff. The campsites are spacious. The surrounding area offers a wide range of activities and attractions. Fresh rolls, bread, and baguettes are available daily from the bakery. There are also two vending machines stocked with various groceries—ranging from milk to toiletries and soft drinks—in case you’ve forgotten something. We’ve been regular guests for three years now and have already made a reservation for 2027.

    De camping biedt uitstekende faciliteiten, waaronder een zwembad en animatie, en wordt gekenmerkt door vriendelijke eigenaren en personeel. De kampeerplaatsen zijn ruim opgezet. In de omgeving is er een breed scala aan activiteiten en bezienswaardigheden. Dagelijks zijn er verse broodjes, brood en stokbrood verkrijgbaar via de bakker. Tevens zijn er twee automaten aanwezig met diverse boodschappen, variërend van melk tot toiletartikelen en frisdrank, voor het geval u iets vergeten bent. Wij zijn reeds drie jaar vaste gast en hebben alweer gereserveerd voor 2027.

    Camping super, very nice that it includes a restaurant. We did notice that everything has become a lot more expensive. Not only at the campsite but also the rest of the area. Remains a very nice well maintained small campsite.

    Wel hebben wij gemerkt dat alles een stuk duurder is geworden.
