We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this park. The park is beautifully landscaped, excellently maintained, and exudes a sense of tranquility. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff is friendly, helpful, and really goes out of their way to assist you.

One moment that particularly stood out for us happened late in the evening. We were sitting outside playing a card game when the night watchman stopped by. Instead of just doing his rounds, he struck up a friendly conversation and really took the time to chat with us. As far as we’re concerned, those kinds of small, personal moments really make all the difference.

We stayed in cottage 233, right on the beach. It’s a beautiful, modern cottage in a lovely location at the entrance to the park. The location is ideal, and the view really tops it off.

Upon arrival, we did notice that the cottage wasn’t entirely clean. There was quite a bit of dust, and dirt was still visible in several places. We reported this to the front desk the next morning, and the service was truly excellent. Within half an hour, the cleaning staff was at the door, and everything was taken care of. That certainly deserves a compliment.

One minor point of concern is the restaurant. It is not operated by the park itself. Unfortunately, our experience there was less positive. For a takeout order of about €65 (stew and salmon for two people), we found the portions to be very small. It even came with only half a bag of fries—barely enough for two people. We didn’t think it was worth the price.

Our advice, therefore, is to look outside the park if you want to order takeout or have food delivered. Thuisbezorgd delivers right to the front desk. We can wholeheartedly recommend Salt & Sugar. Delicious food, generous portions, and much better value for the money.

The surroundings are also definitely a plus. From the park, you can walk or bike right into nature. The Brunssummerheide and surrounding forests are beautiful, and there are plenty of well-marked hiking and biking trails ranging from about 2, 4, 5, or even 10 kilometers. Ideal if you love peace and quiet, nature, and being outdoors.

All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks to the hospitality, the lovely accommodations, and the beautiful surroundings, we’ll definitely be back.

Onze ervaring was helaas minder positief.

We read through all the reviews here and arrived with mixed feelings, but those were quickly put to rest—the resort is incredibly idyllic with the lake and sandy beach. Sure, there are a few minor issues when it comes to cleanliness, like the windows, but the staff here is super friendly—even in the restaurant—and it’s a great resort. We’re really satisfied. If you rent a furnished house here, you should know that not everything is provided—the description clearly states what’s included and what isn’t. We simply brought some of the missing items with us from home. So we’d love to come back.

Also wir kommen gerne wieder.
