πŸ›¬ Arrival & first impression Booked spontaneously - decided on Wednesday, arrived on Friday. Check-in was officially from 4 pm, but I was able to check in at 3:30 pm without any complications - great! To avoid the Easter traffic, I set off early and made two nice stops on the way: DreilΓ€ndereck and Wittem Monastery - both absolutely worthwhile. 🏠 My first Tiny House - small but mighty! My first stay in a tiny house - and I was pleasantly surprised! The furnishings are simple, modern and immediately cozy thanks to the small decorative elements. - Kitchen: According to the description there should be a microwave, in fact there was a stove with two hobs - better for me, but the information should be adjusted. - Equipment: Everything important available - cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, Senseo coffee machine. You should bring your own washing-up liquid, towels, spices etc. - Sleeping area: Upstairs under the roof, accessible via a ladder. Worked well - but a bit dusty. Nice: the small window for light & air. - Storage space: Very limited - only one clothes hanger, hardly any storage space. A few more hooks or a shelf would be helpful. - Bathroom: Small but functional with enough storage space. Laundry rack available. - Terrace: Table, four chairs, two loungers, parasol - really inviting! 🌳 The park - versatile & dog-friendly Large, diverse park - everything from camping pitches to luxury lodges. There was a lot going on over Easter (partly due to a bike race), but it was pleasantly quiet in the Tiny Houses area. Particularly positive: the dog-friendliness - poop bag dispensers and garbage cans, lots of trails and adjacent meadows that can be walked on with consideration. I was out and about with my dog for over an hour - perfect for relaxed walks. There is also plenty on offer for families: Playgrounds, FunClub (during the vacations), bookable sauna via QR code. πŸ—ΊοΈ Location & excursion options The view from the Gulperberg is quiet, green, almost like something out of a picture book - especially in the morning or evening. The accommodation is pleasantly embedded in greenery and therefore feels private and close to nature. Ideal as a starting point - my personal highlight was the trip to Maastricht: charming, lively and absolutely worth a visit. 🧾 My conclusion An all-round successful stay with only minor weaknesses (dust in the sleeping area, little storage space, inaccurate kitchen description), but these hardly mattered. The Tiny House was much more spacious than expected - if you are used to camper size, it almost seems spacious. And thanks to a little flexibility, I was able to stay an extra night without paying more - it's worth comparing prices! Would I come back again? Yes, definitely!

πŸ›¬ Anreise & erster Eindruck Spontan gebucht – mittwochs entschieden, freitags angereist. β€’ Ausstattung: Alles Wichtige vorhanden – Besteck, Geschirr, Kochutensilien, Senseo-Kaffeemaschine. SpΓΌlmittel, HandtΓΌcher, GewΓΌrze o.β€―Γ€. sollte man selbst mitbringen.

Very nice park with beautiful location. Staff was friendly and especially the view what many cottages have is super. We will definitely come back. Note: placing a side sleeper or camp bed for a baby was not possible in our bedrooms due to limited space.

Beautiful cottage in beautiful location. Would have been absolutely perfect if it also included an indoor pool.

Really cool rooms with very nice views of the hills and valleys. About 5' drive from Gulpenberg and 25' from Aachen. Well situated to both Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Cabins very warm, good comfy beds and many places to sit. One thing, they don't provide towels in the rooms so make sure you bring your own.
