I wasn’t familiar with the restaurant. We went there at the invitation of my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, who also live in De Moer. I thought there had only been one restaurant in De Moer, near the church, for the past 100 years.😄 At De Zwammenberg, it was nice to relax on the beautiful patio with the campground behind it and a cute little playground for the kids. It was busy, and everyone was eating. That already looked promising. Because wherever a place is good, it’s busy at 7:00 p.m. on a Sunday evening when the weather’s nice. And that’s exactly what it was!
Despite the crowd, the staff paid immediate attention to the four of us. The friendly young lady said she’d come take our drink order right away as she was on her way to another table. That’s already 10 points in my book! My brother-in-law and sister-in-law’s neighbor, who works there, brought us the bottle of wine. And we helped her out a little. She mentioned that this was her first time serving a bottle of wine. Well, she passed with flying colors. That was 20 points. She’s a real gem.😃 We had a truly delicious meal. A great menu with something for everyone. It was hard to choose, but I went with the Moers stew. That was spot on! I can definitely recommend it. And the prices were very reasonable. People were working hard both front of house and back of house—I could see that as I walked past the kitchen on my way to the clean restrooms. The interior of the restaurant is also very tastefully decorated. I can only speak about the restaurant and the patio. I didn’t see the rest. We’ll definitely be back. I still need to try that chicken dish. My wife and sister-in-law thought it was delicious. A great place. Our compliments!

It’s truly a great spot to enjoy lunch or dinner with the kids! There’s a super fun, fenced-in playground for all ages, a fun indoor play area too, and incredibly friendly staff!!!

Quick confirmation of the reservation made online. We were shown to our reserved table immediately upon arrival. Efficient service. Plenty of choices on the lunch menu. They checked in regularly to see if everything was to our liking and if we’d like anything else to drink. Nice patio, and there’s even a playground. Kid-friendly. The food was delicious. It was great!

A fun place to take the kids. There’s a bouncy castle and playground equipment where they can play before or after dinner. The food is delicious, and the staff is friendly.
