Looking for a cosy hideaway for just the two of you? De Schone Leij is a charming, pet-friendly holiday home surrounded by greenery, close to both forest and beach – the perfect base for a relaxed couples’ escape.

The house is quietly located on the edge of nature: within about 500 metres you walk straight into the forest, and in roughly 5 km you’re on the wide, sandy beach. Supermarket, public transport and the train station are all nearby, so you can leave the car if you like and still explore the area with ease.

Inside, you’ll find a warm and comfortable living space with a fireplace where you can curl up together after a day outside. The open kitchen is well equipped for simple breakfasts or a cosy dinner at home. The bedroom offers a comfortable double bed, plus sofa beds and a single box bed, and there’s even a camping cot available, handy if you’re travelling with a baby. Central heating keeps the whole place pleasantly warm in every season.

Step outside onto your private terrace with garden furniture and enjoy your morning coffee in the fresh air or a glass of wine as the sun goes down. With private parking right by the accommodation, arrival and departure are hassle-free.

From De Schone Leij you can easily discover the best of the Bergen region. Wander through historic Bergen with its artistic vibe, or take a day trip to Bergen’s famous Bryggen Wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage site with colourful wooden houses and a unique maritime atmosphere. Love views? Hike or take the funicular up Mount Floyen for sweeping panoramas over the water and the city.

Food lovers are in the right place too: try hearty Norwegian dishes at the laid-back restaurant Pingvinen, or treat yourselves to a refined dinner at Restaurant 1877.

Before arrival, you can optionally book a utilities & service package for EUR 50. This covers final cleaning, utility consumption, service support and protection against minor damages, so you can focus fully on enjoying your stay. Prefer to arrange things yourself? That’s fine too, as long as you leave the accommodation in good condition.
