Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience... Before our visit, we had done some research and assumed that dogs were allowed. Once there, we first paid the 3.50 euro admission fee per person. Meanwhile, a staff member was sitting within sight of us; he had already seen and heard us with our dog. It wasn’t until after we had paid and were about to enter the grounds that we were told dogs weren’t allowed there. They could easily have given us this information beforehand, before we paid the admission fee. We found this very frustrating and not very customer-friendly. As an alternative, we were recommended a supposed hiking trail. However, this consisted mostly of an overgrown, poorly maintained path through tall grass. The signage was extremely confusing, making it almost impossible to tell where to walk. In the end, we had to walk the entire way back without really seeing anything of the nature reserve. What was particularly frustrating: Because of the tall grass, both our dog and we picked up several ticks. All in all, we had a long drive there, paid the admission fee, and were only informed afterward that we weren’t allowed to enter with a dog. Clear communication before payment and better signage for the alternative route would have been the least they could have done. Unfortunately, not recommended for dog owners.
