Unfortunately, this was by far the most disappointing place we’ve ever booked through Airbnb.

Shortly after we arrived, we had the feeling that something was wrong with the place. More and more unusually large moths kept appearing in the tent. When we tried to close the windows, we discovered several moth nests right on the windows. Since the front desk was already closed, we spoke to the manager of the restaurant on the premises. Unfortunately, we were simply told to just wipe the nests away.

Later that day, we also found a dead bird under the bed. At that point, we had already decided that we would leave the accommodation the next morning. As the evening wore on, however, the insect infestation got worse and worse. We got rid of an estimated twelve moths in the tent, but new ones kept appearing all the time. Eventually, we no longer felt comfortable in the accommodation at all and decided to leave that very same night.

We then tried to reach the emergency number provided. We called a total of three times. The first two calls went to voicemail after a few rings; on the third call, we were routed directly to voicemail after the very first ring. We also didn’t receive a callback or a follow-up the next day to check if everything was okay and find out what had happened.

Since we could no longer safely continue our journey at that point, we had no choice but to spend the night in the car and contact Airbnb. As a result, not only was the night lost, but the following day of our vacation was practically ruined as well.

We would like to give a positive shout-out to Airbnb Support, which made an effort to find a solution within the limits of its capabilities. However, we were very disappointed with the condition of the accommodation and how the situation was handled.

I also informed the host directly through Airbnb about the entire situation and described all the problems. To this day, however, I have not received any response—neither an apology nor a follow-up nor any form of reaction.

Of course, we were aware that insects can occasionally appear in a nature-oriented accommodation. Our review is expressly not directed against individual insects, but rather against the extent of the infestation and how the situation was handled. We cannot and do not wish to judge whether the other accommodations are also affected.

With this review, we do not intend to discourage anyone from staying there; we simply wish to share our personal experience. Looking back, we wish we had read such an honest review before booking—perhaps then we would have been spared that very distressing night. This experience has left a lasting impact on me and still weighs on my mind today.

We were in this park for a long weekend.
We were able to bring our bags from the parking lot to the tent in a handcart. The park is car-free.
We arrived in the rain and at 14 degrees and were freezing because the tent couldn't be heated. Although it says on the homepage that the tents are heated with pellet stoves. On the 2nd day we were given an electric heater, which we were very pleased about. It ran for 10 minutes, then the plug overheated. So we continued to freeze. The reception was somehow always dark.
We would probably have enjoyed our stay more with heating.
The tent was nicely furnished, just not a luxury. Everything you needed was there. The bed was very comfortable. I don't sleep that well at home. When the weather is nice you can sit on the terrace. There is enough space to play badminton.
The bathroom was very nice, especially the shower. Unfortunately, there's not really any privacy in the bathroom as it's not really a separate room.
The playground with restaurant and outdoor terrace is great for young parents. On the first morning we were woken up at 6:45 by dogs barking and loud chatter from the neighboring tent. This noise continued throughout the morning. There were a few gunshots the next night. On the 3rd night, motorcyclists banged past several times and there was a very loud bang that really worried me. All in all, we didn't have a relaxing short vacation for a lot of money.
The park is dog-friendly. You are right in the forest and can go for a good walk. Waste garbage cans along the path for the dog bags would be an advantage. Unfortunately you have to get bread rolls in town. You can't get them in the park. But you can have breakfast in the restaurant.
    WLAN works perfectly.
It's definitely nice there with small children and in summer.
The tent was basically clean. Only the ladder in the children's room wasn't really as clean as it should have been.

Also weiter frieren.
