Not to be missed: nature reserve Vechtdal

With a location in the nature reserve the Vechtdal, you are assured of a natural environment when you sleep at Camping 't Veld. The characteristic of this nature area is its many different landscapes. Take beautiful cycling and walking tours, or choose to go on De Vecht by boat at Rondvaartboot Le Bateau Napoleon in Loozen. Drive towards Beerze to spot Scottish Highland cattle, or go to Kaasmakerij en Boerderij Heileuver to learn how cheese is made. A fun and tasty trip to make in the Vechtdal! There are also many castles and estates to be found in this area of the Netherlands. A popular estate is Landgoed Het Laer, surrounded by fifty acres of forest.

Out and about with the children

Are you with the whole family at Camping 't Veld? Then head towards the indoor amusement park Plopsaland. This park is located 23 km from the glamping and is especially fun to go with small children. A little further away is Wildlands Emmen, where you can spot the most special animals. Just over the German border, about a 50-minute drive away, is another zoo. Namely Tierpark Nordhorn. From wild cats to active monkeys, you'll check them all out here! Do the kids feel like climbing and clambering like monkeys themselves? Then head for Monkeytown, a larger version of the indoor playground at the campground. Kids will have the time of their lives, and you can cycle there within 6 minutes.

The Vechtdal Four Day Bike Ride in September

Do you want to cycle and walk a lot during your vacation? Then Camping 't Veld is the place for you! Not only is it possible to rent bikes, there are also many routes in the area. Are you coming in September? Then join the Vechtdal bicycle four-day event! At the reception of the campsite they sell maps of the area and make use of the free information package you receive with your stay.

A day full of adrenaline

Camping 't Veld is located between two amusement parks, namely Avonturenpark Hellendoorn and Attractiepark Slagharen where you step into the world of cowboys and Indians. After about a 20-minute drive you will be welcomed by fast roller coasters, water rides and spectacular shows for the whole family. A trip to either of these two parks will be an active day full of adrenaline! When you return to the glamping in Overijssel, relax in your safari tent.

    Small-scale apparently fine campground trying to compete against its neighbor (a larger camping chain). We were here on a brand new camper place. Nice big and looked neat. With the necessary power and water connection plus drain. At the edge of the place a large hedge where field mice walked between. Sat right next to the countryside so fine :) If I have to be honest. Think if the intermediate hedge would be nice full grown that this is the finest camper place we have ever had so far. First evening reception fine. Then we wanted to go eat and had reserved in advance. Unfortunately, the reservation was not known. Fortunately not busy so we could eat well. Quality of the food was poor. Sat unfortunately very little flavor. The quantity was more than enough. The store small but fine as far as it can. Definitely sandwiches in the morning well taken care of. On is quickly restocked. So no hassle with reservations. However, the selection is sparse. But hey ... at a good 15 minutes cycling is a supermarket nearby. Sanitary ... Although the campsite was full, everything looked neat and clean. Too bad that the men's toilet contains only 3 toilets. So in the morning 6 people waiting for you. Unfortunately, you get then slightly affected by a morning mood if you need. It is also a pity that the information supply of the building leaves much to be desired. I had almost given up looking for the chemical toilet when someone arrived and said it was around the corner. A few inexpensive signs on the street side would have been nice. Laundry facility no use but also looked neat. The pool is not large. For that reason due to the crowds we did not go swimming ourselves. The slide is fine although my daughter thought there could be more :D Furthermore, everything is neatly arranged and kept clean. The animation is tiptop. Nice ride around and encourage the kids to come along. That's how it should be. Ours didn't want to come along for ages until she came here.... so congratulations. The only regret I found was that nothing was kept up to date in the app. Even the entertainment and opening hours was just blank. It turned out that when we left the employee said (after I had indicated that I was not satisfied with it) that they had a new app. So alls was updated there. In the mail there was a wrong link so I ended up with the old app :( The surroundings here are beautiful. We have been several times in this omgeveing been. Beautiful nature and cozy villages (on the water). Would we go back here again? I think so... Although we are used to campsites with a store with a wider range.

    Kleinschalige op zicht prima camping die probeert te concurreren tegen de buurman (een grotere campingketen). We stonden hier op een gloednieuwe camperplaats. Mooi groot en zag er keurig uit. Met de nodige stroom- en wateraansluiting plus afvoer. Aan de rand van de plaats een grote heg waar veldmuisjes tussendoor liepen. Zit precies naast het platteland dus prima :) Als ik eerlijk moet zeggen... denk als de tussenheg mooi vol dichtgegroeid zou zijn dat dit de fijnste camperplaats is die we dusver ooit hebben gehad. Eerste avond ontvangst prima geregeld. Daarna wouden we gaan eten en hadden tevoren gereserveerd. Helaas was de reservering niet bekend. Gelukkig niet druk dus wel lekker kunnen eten. Kwaliteit van het eten was matig. Zat jammer genoeg erg weinig smaak aan. De hoeveelheid was wel ruim voldoende. De winkel klein maar prima in orde voor zover het kan. Zeker broodjes in de ochtend goed geregeld. Op is snel bijgevuld. Dus geen gedoe met reserveren. Het aanbod is echter wel summier. Maar ach... op goed 15 minuten fietsen zit een supermarkt in de buurt. Sanitair... Ondanks dat de camping vol stond zag alles er netjes en schoon uit. Wel jammer dat het herentoilet maar 3 toiletten bevat. In de ochtend dus 6 wachtenden voor je. Helaas krijg je dan lichtelijk last van een ochtendhumeurtje als je nodig moet. Tevens is het erg jammer dat de info voorziening van het gebouw te wensen over laat. Ik had bijna de zoektocht naar het chemisch toilet opgegeven toen iemand aan kwam en zei dat het om de hoek was. Een paar goedkope bordjes aan de straatkant was fijn geweest. Wasgelegenheid geen gebruik van gemaakt maar zag er ook keurig uit. Het zwembad is niet groot. Om die reden door de drukte zijn wij zelf niet gaan zwemmen. De glijbaan is prima in orde al vond mn dochter dat er wel meer bij kon :D Verder wordt alles netjes geregeld en schoon gehouden. De animatie is tiptop in orde. Mooi rond rijden en de kids aansporen om mee te gaan. Zo hoort het. Die van ons wilde al tijden niet mee mee tot ze hier kwam... dus complimenten. Het enige jammere vond ik dat in de app niets bijgehouden werd. Zelfs de animatie en openingstijden was gewoon blanco. Bleek uiteindelijk toen we vertrokken dat de medewerker zei (nadat ik dit aan had gegeven dat ik daar niet tevreden over was) dat ze een nieuwe app hadden. Daar werd dus wel alls bijgewerkt. In de mail heeft er dus nog een verkeerde link gestaan waardoor ik dus bij de oude app ben beland :( De omgeving is hier prachtig. We zijn al meerdere keren in deze omgeveing geweest. Prachtige natuur en gezellige dorpen (aan het water). Zouden we hier nog eens terug gaan? Ik denk het wel... Al zijn we campings gewend met een winkel met een uitgebreider aanbod.

    A trip is always busy. Upon arrival we are not allowed to take our cars into the park. So now walking back and forth as well. What a reception. They do not trust their own customer that the car is neatly put away immediately. Bad policy.
