Fish Cabin Deluxe - 5 persons

We stayed camping there for a weekend. The toilets were most of the time dirty. Maybe because it was high season and it was quite full with a lot of children, but that was not pleasant.

The swimming pool is quite small and for small children. The lake although nice is full of fish which may nip you once in a while.

We had two wonderful weeks at this campground. A beautiful, fairly spacious site with private restroom facilities. The refrigerator (with a freezer compartment) near the restroom building is a particularly welcome addition. The campground features a swimming pool (with a retractable roof), a swimming lake, fishing ponds, a restaurant, a snack bar, and a small campground store. It’s located in the beautiful Twente countryside, and of course, Germany is just a 5-minute bike ride away. This campground is primarily geared toward families with children up to about 12 years old. There are no entertainment activities for older children or adults.

A nice campground in a beautiful setting. Aside from hiking and biking, however, there aren’t many full-day activities to do with the kids in the immediate area. There’s plenty for the kids to do at the campground itself, though the entertainment team keeps doing the same old tricks, which gets boring for the older kids. The campground is right next to a livestock farm where there’s activity and noise day and night. It’s not a problem during the day, but it’s extremely disruptive at night and in the early morning—waking up peacefully and sleeping in isn’t an option. Furthermore, the campsites are mostly exposed to the sun and crowded together—not exactly pleasant when it’s over 30 degrees.
