The cottage wasn't clean upon arrival. Dirty dishes had been put away in the cupboard. Dead flies and spiders on the floor. While cleaning, I noticed that the floors hadn't been mopped—the rag was pitch black. The large windows were dirty. There was a lot of traffic in the park—tractors driving back and forth early in the morning, or the lawn mower with a leaf blower. We didn’t receive a warm welcome from the hostess; she was suddenly let go due to budget cuts!! She used to be the point of contact at the park and made sure everything was in order or would be taken care of. A lot of mosquitoes and flies; no window screens. None of this was cleaned or maintained with care. The vacuum cleaner is held together with tape, and the drying rack is broken. Not quite everything, though. The washing machine is dirty, full of lint, and smells of smoke from previous guests. A plus is the air conditioning in the living room—it would be nice to have it in the bedrooms too, given the heat. The sheets that go on the mattress are worn out, as are most of the pillowcases. The duvet covers are in good condition. The freezer compartments in the refrigerators could use some attention, and if you look up, you’ll see thick layers of dust on the ceiling, walls, and light fixtures. The cushions and blankets on the couch aren’t necessary either—they’re all superfluous and unhygienic with different guests coming and going. Outside, you’ll see a lot of weeds between the tiles and some stray trash here and there. There are some very nice cottages, but they, too, need maintenance. For young children, there’s a small playground and a 1.40 cm swimming pool. There is no restaurant or bar in the park. Without a car or bike, it’s too far to the nearest town. It’s a 3-kilometer walk there and another 3 kilometers back. This could also be a plus for many people. All in all, it’s a decent park, but more attention to cleaning and maintenance wouldn’t go amiss.

Such a shame… I had a weekend planned with a group of friends, and everything was all set.
Everything was nicely arranged with great prices and terms.
All the related activities in the area were completely arranged and paid for.
We booked the weekend, only to have it canceled two months in advance via a WhatsApp message.
This has affected not only us and our friends but also all the businesses where we booked activities and meals.
We made several suggestions to see if it might still happen and were even willing to pay more, but unfortunately, we were told that, unfortunately, it couldn’t go ahead for us.
So, unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend booking a weekend here at the family farm…
It looked so nice, and we were really looking forward to it…😍

We all loved the house, the cleanliness and the environment, but the beds are really terrible. They are very uncomfortable. On the second day I had so much back pain that I preferred to sleep on the couch. Would like to replace the beds with better and firmer mattresses. 🙏🏻

We stayed in the cottage Forest Lodge Mikah. Nice,cozy,clean and nicely decorated. Beds were good and everything you could want was there. We were also kindly received and also kindly waved goodbye. For us a successful weekend and certainly recommend it to everyone. Gerard and Corina Gensen
