    We rented a dune villa in early May. It was about 22 degrees outside at the time. Inside it was bloody hot: 29.5 degrees. I think the heat pump of the cottage should also cool but according to the reception, it did not. After some calling, an air conditioner could be brought for €15 per day. However, this is a necessity, not a luxury. With the weather we had it did fortunately cool down in the evening and at night. But in summer it must be unbearable so hot. Be prepared. ☀️ The villa itself is beautiful to see but the house is without (decent) insulation. So you feel the heat and hear everything very well. Also when it rains. Furthermore, there is a lot of light in the cottage. We therefore taped the upstairs windows with garbage bags for the children. The beds only just fit in the rooms. You can move them slightly but not too much because then the door can no longer open. Because of the sloping roof, you therefore do not have the space to fully use the bed. With my 1.90 I lay with my feet outside the bed because otherwise my head would not come out. What should also be mentioned is that the house does not have a freezer. The showers are fine. Spacious also 👍🏻 Furthermore, in terms of location it is quite nice. One car you can park in front of the door or else in the nearby parking lot. Great location as a base for day trips and the beach (around the corner). Friendly staff and a nice indoor playground for the kids.

    Begin mei hebben we een duinvilla gehuurd. Het was toen buiten zo’n 22 graden. Binnen was het bloedheet: 29,5 graden. De warmtepomp van het huisje zou volgens mij ook moeten koelen maar volgens de receptie is dat niet zo. Na wat bellen kon er een airco gebracht worden voor €15 per dag. Dit is echter noodzakelijk, geen luxe. Met het weer wat we hadden koelde het in de avond en ‘s nachts gelukkig wel af. Maar in de zomer moet het niet te harden zijn zo warm. Be prepared.. ☀️ De villa zelf is mooi om te zien maar het huis is zonder (fatsoenlijke) isolatie. Je voelt dus de warmte en hoort alles erg goed. Ook als het regent. Verder is er veel licht in het huisje. We hebben het daarom de ramen boven met vuilniszakken afgeplakt voor de kinderen. De bedden passen maar net in de kamers. Je kunt ze wel iets opschuiven maar niet te veel want dan kan de deur niet meer open. Vanwege het schuin aflopende dak heb je daardoor niet de ruimte om het bed volledig te gebruiken. Met m’n 1.90 lag ik daardoor met m’n voeten buiten het bed omdat ik anders met m’n hoofd niet uitkwam. Wat ook nog vermeld moet worden is dat het huis niet beschikt over een vriesvak. De douches zijn fijn. Ruim opgezet ook 👍🏻 Verder ligt het qua locatie best wel mooi. Eén auto kun je voor de deur parkeren of anders op de nabij gelegen parkeerplaats. Prima ligging als uitvalsbasis voor dagtripjes en het strand (om de hoek). Vriendelijke medewerkers en een leuke binnenspeeltuin voor de kids.
