Get into the time machine and experience a unique vacation at Archeon!

You will stay in a comfortable four-person lodge tent on the Expedition Archeon grounds, in the middle of the park.

The luxury lodge tent has a private bathroom, fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, electric stove, a coffee machine with cups, kettle. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed (200 x 160) and one with two single beds (180 x 80).

There is also a cozy sitting area, every morning you wake up with fresh rolls and the refrigerator is filled with breakfast products from the Green Heart. Outside you will find a covered terrace with lounge sofa and a picnic table and 2 beach chairs.

Expedition Archeon

By day, dive into history: make fire like a prehistoric hunter, shoot with a bow, practice being a Roman legionnaire or make a felt bracelet in the Middle Ages. At night, when Archeon closes, the park is yours! Swim in the Roman pool, take an evening walk or paddle in a log canoe under the stars.

Two dinners are included: feast on pancakes at the Medieval Monastery and enjoy Italian pizza at the Roman Inn.

Expedition Archeon includes:

  • In medieval times archery, in prehistoric times boulder pulling, canoeing in a log canoe, making fire, in Roman times you can exercise, in the arena watch the gladiator fight.

    If your stay needs to be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, please notify Glampings BV via email (info@glampings.com) or through our contact center during office hours. Cancellations or changes may incur costs:

    • Up to 50 days before arrival: 30% of the total booking price.

    • From day 50 to day 28 before arrival: 60% of the total booking price.

    • From day 28 until the arrival date: 90% of the total booking price.

    • On the arrival date or later: 100% of the total booking price.

    You will stay in our 4-person Lodge, on the "Expedition Archeon" grounds, in the middle of the park. You can join the activities on the daily program or go out with the Archeon interpreter with the special expedition tours exclusively for your party. The package includes 2 days dinner and daily breakfast.

    You have free entrance to Museumpark Archeon and an activity pass for the kids to make the cutest souvenirs themselves.

    In the evening, when Archeon is closed, you have the park all to yourself! You can go swimming in the Roman outdoor pool, take an evening stroll around the park or play in the playground, for example.

  2. Are pets welcome in the lodge tent?

    Dogs are unfortunately not allowed in the campground.

  3. Can I still visit the park the day of check-out?

    Yes, you can visit the park for the rest of the day.

  4. What hospitality venues are there?

    In the Roman Inn, Pizzas are available and tasty sandwiches and pastries and fries (when it is not so crowded). At the Pancake Convent - besides delicious pancakes - tasty sandwiches and pastries are available.

    The check-in at Expedition Archeon starts at 16:00. The checkout should be done before 10:00.

What you should know about the park

Travel through time and experience prehistory, Roman times and the Middle Ages in Archeon! During the day, discover the past with an Archeo interpreter or go on your own expedition. Take part in activities such as archery, sword fighting, fire making or sailing in a log canoe. In the evening, when the park closes, you have Archeon all to yourself.     Vooral geschikt voor kinderen maar ook zeker aan te raden als uitje met wat vrienden. Ik zou je dan ook zeker aan raden om een aantal shows bij te wonen!

    Gemengde ervaring met mijn zoon van 4 jaar. Ik vond het park niet gericht op kinderen van zijn leeftijd. Voor alles op het water is een zwemdiploma verplicht, ook onder begeleiding van een volwassene, voor de boomstamkano's maar ook voor een simpel pontje. Shows ook niet gericht op kleine kinderen. Zo werd bij de gladiatorenshow gezegd dat er "mensen in elkaar geslagen worden voor vermaak" (dit snapt een klein kind niet als humor). Figuranten gaan erg op in hun rol, maar zijn niet allemaal kindvriendelijk: mijn zoon werd erop aangesproken dat hij bramen plukte "omdat deze bespoten zouden worden", beetje vreemd. Het park was kleiner dan verwacht, een stuk kleiner bijvoorbeeld dan het Openluchtmuseum in Arnhem. Ik vind de reguliere entreeprijs daarom niet in verhouding staan tot het gebodene. Gelukkig is het met de Museumkaart wel gratis te bezoeken, dat scheelt. Wij hebben toch een leuke dag gehad. Het park was goed verzorgd, er was een speeltuin en zelfs op een weekenddag in de zomervakantie was het rustig.

    Leuk park met veel interactie. Er zijn activiteiten in de Romeinse arena, in de middeleeuwen zijn er workshops, je kan zwaardvechten en boogschieten. Zeker leuk voor kinderen. Interessante kijk in de geschiedenis. Over het algemeen wel vriendelijk personeel, wel redelijk prijzig....

    Heel leuk park. Wij zijn met familie geweest en hebben jonge kinderen. Genoeg te zien voor de hele familie. Enthousiaste medewerkers. Grote speeltuin. Minpunt vinden wij wel de hoge kosten voor het parkeren bij dit park en dat we ontzettend lang voor een dichte slagboom moesten wachten totdat iemand hem kwam openen en door de intercom aangaf dat het druk was. Verder hele leuke dag gehad.
