Sun, sea, and beach

About a 5-minute bike ride away is the Ouddorp aan Zee beach, one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches in the Netherlands. On this beach, almost 18 km long you can take lovely walks on the beach, spread out your bath towel and you will find nice beach pavilions where you can settle down for a snack or a drink. For water sports enthusiasts, there is plenty to do. For example, learn to surf, go sailing, or supping. At the end of the beach, you will find the Brouwersdam, the seventh structure of the Delta Works, and the connection between the province of South Holland and Zeeland. Here you can often spot seals but also enjoy the annual "Concert at Sea" festival.

Visit the goat farm

Goat Farm De Mekkerstee is an organic goat farm and a fun day out for the young and old. Not only will you learn all about these cute animals here, you can also cuddle them and even milk them. You can also see how goat's milk is made into cheese. In the farm store, you can buy plenty of tasty local products and in the restaurant, you can enjoy a cup of coffee with a delicious piece of apple pie.

Visit Fitou

Between the meadows in Ouddorp, you will find Fitou. At this cozy cafe with a tea garden, you can linger all day. Scattered on the grass are tables where you enjoy a cappuccino or delicacy from the menu, while the kids learn about what grows and blooms in the nursery garden. In the pasture are ponies and horses, and in bad weather, there is a cozy indoor area.

Hiking and biking

The surroundings of Vakantiepark de Klepperstee are perfect for a nice walking or cycling tour. Nature reserve the Kwade Hoek has a varied landscape and there are numerous birds to spot. The Bunker Route is not only a beautiful but also an interesting route that leads you along a part of the 2600 km long defense line built by the Germans in World War II. The Slikken van Flakkee is a beautiful hiking and cycling area where you will find many plants and wildlife. Not only nature offers beautiful pictures. The village of Goedereede still has city walls, a tower, and a harbor dating back to Roman times. The narrow streets are also a real attraction.

    The beautifully situated campsite offers everything a camper's heart desires. Whether it's the catering or the sanitary facilities, everything is very well maintained and you can tell that a lot of value is placed on making the guests feel comfortable. Electricity and water are available at every pitch, which is very practical. I have been able to use the motorhome pitch several times and have always felt very comfortable. Booking is very straightforward and you can easily access the pitch using license plate recognition. The pitch is beautifully laid out and only a few minutes by bike from the beach. The town center of Ouddorp is great for a stroll and is also easy to reach by bike. Whether on foot, by bike or with a camper van, there are lots of great excursions to be made from the pitch. I love Ouddorp and the surrounding tranquillity of nature and am already looking forward to my next stay at De Klepperstee campsite.

    Der sehr schön gelegene Campingplatz bietet alles was das Camper Herz begehrt. Ob Gastronomie oder die Sanitären Einrichtungen, es ist alles sehr gepflegt und man merkt das man hier sehr viel Wert drauf legt, das die Gäste sich wohlfühlen sollen. Strom und Wasser gibt es an jedem Stellplatz, was sehr praktisch ist. Ich habe schon mehrmals den Wohnmobil Stellplatz nutzen dürfen und fühlte mich immer sehr wohl. Die Buchung ist sehr unkompliziert und man kommt per Kennzeichenerkennung ganz bequem auf dem Stellplatz. Der Stellplatz ist schön angelegt und mit dem Rad nur wenige Minuten vom Strand entfernt. Die Innenstadt von Ouddorp lädt zum Bummeln ein und ist ebenfalls gut mit dem Rad zu erreichen. Ob zu Fuß, mit dem Rad oder auch mit dem Wohnmobil, vom Stellplatz aus lassen sich viele schöne Ausflüge machen.Ich liebe Ouddorp und die umliegende Ruhe der Natur und freue mich jetzt schon auf meinen nächsten Aufenthalt am Campingplatz De Klepperstee.

    We only wanted to stay for a weekend... and seriously considered just moving in for good. 😄 Super family friendly: the kids were busy, and happy and so were we. Clean facilities, great atmosphere and enough space for no one to step on their flip-flops. In short: relaxation for the parents, adventure for the kids - and in the end, everyone is happy. This is exactly how camping should be!
