Between two national parks

Soof Retreats Heuvelrug is located near two national parks. Drive 25 minutes east and you'll end up at Hoge Veluwe National Park. Rent bikes and see the landscapes in this area change from hilly sandy plains to forests. City Trips

Amersfoort, Utrecht, Arnhem and Nijmegen are all less than 45 minutes away. Go shopping at Hoog Catharijne in Utrecht or take a nice walk through the old center. Nijmegen also has a beautiful historic center with nice boutiques, squares full of cozy terraces and good restaurants. Adorable Amersfoort is bursting with beautiful buildings and cozy streets. Find a spot by the water and end your day with a drink. Going in the direction of Arnhem? Here, too, you can store and eat well. Plenty of options!

With children in the area

Around the glamping in Utrecht province is plenty to do for young and old! Go in bad weather towards Ballorig in Veenendaal, a 12-minute drive away. At this indoor playground, children will entertain themselves for hours. When the weather is nice, a visit to Ouwehands Zoo is a good idea. A 15-minute drive and you'll be face to face with a giant panda, elephant, or polar bear.

History at Amerongen Castle

A 10-minute drive or 25-minute bike ride away is Amerongen Castle. This special castle from the 17th century can be admired from the outside as well as the inside. Walk the decorated hallways and view the collection of furniture, portraits, musical instruments, and other objects. Before you return to the glamping, take a walk through the garden and take a look at the flower garden, the vegetable garden, and the orchard.

    We were lucky to get a last-minute lodge – and the staff was incredibly friendly, both on the phone and in person. Everyone made us feel really welcome and taken care of. The lodge itself was beautiful, very cozy, and had everything we needed. Comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen – though a blender would be a nice addition. The hot tub was a real highlight, and the garden was lovely too. For our taste, a bit more privacy would have been nice, as it’s a bit open to the outside in some spots. Perfect place for families: there’s a great nature-inspired playground, a beautiful public pool right next door, and an easy-to-use bike rental system via app. We felt super comfortable and would love to come back – maybe even for a longer stay next time!

    Een hele unieke, relaxte plek waar je kunt genieten van een toffe vakantie! Niet standaard maar mooi ingerichte lodges met een prachtig uitzicht over het water. Een heerlijke hottub, ontzettend leuke activiteiten georganiseerd voor de kinderen, tegenover het bos en een fijne brasserie. Alles wat je nodig hebt voor een geslaagde vakantie!

    Schöne Gegend und ruhige Atmosphäre. Leider waren die Betten sehr unbequem und die Spülmaschine hat nicht richtig funktioniert. Der Pool und der Whirlpool waren beide super und haben Spaß gemacht.
