Discover nearby nature reserves such as the Pluimpot, just 1.3 km from the campsite, and the Oosterschelde National Park, 12.5 km away, where you can enjoy bird watching and nature walks.
Fun villages and historical sites
Visit the historic churches in the area, such as the St. Adriaan Church in Scherpenisse itself. This Gothic church dates back to the 15th century. Visit the quaint village of Wemeldinge, known for its beautiful harbor and opportunities for diving and snorkeling. If you like seafood, Yerseke is a must-visit. Bodde her 3 netter i juli, 2 voksne og 1 barn på 6 år. Ca 15 min kjøring fra A4 så litt avsidesliggende om man trenger andre opplevelser (30 min kjøring fra Outlett i Roosendaal, ca 1 time fra Antwerpen), men vakker beliggenhet når man ønsker total avslapping! Kort vei til en liten strand og campingen ligger landlig til med en liten gårdsbutikk på andre siden av veien. Inne på selve campingen var det ett lite servicebygg, unisex, med dusjer og toalett. Toaletttømming på utsiden ved siden av vaskene for oppvask, men ønsket man varmtvann til oppvasken måtte man betale for det. Stor lekeplass og badebasseng som vi var veldig imponert over, med tanke på hvor liten camping det var. Dette er også en bilfri camping - første gangen vi har opplevd det, men så deilig og fredelig det gjorde vårt opphold! Det var også en restaurant på campingen hvor vi spise ene kvelden - veldig god mat! Anbefales!

Yes, the outdoor pool consists of a large pool (approximately 6 x 12m) and a separate paddling pool. The large pool is 1.00m to 1.40m deep and the paddling pool is about 30cm deep. The pool is normally open from the May vacations until the beginning of September, this depends on the weather.
Is there a camp store available?
No, there is no store but from early April to early October there is the possibility of ordering delicious fresh rolls every morning.
What activities are available at Gorishoek campsite?
There is a swimming pool with paddling pool. The playground has several pieces of playground equipment, including an air trampoline. Next to the playground there is a small-scale petting zoo. In high season, various activities are organized by the campground's entertainment team from Monday to Saturday. These range from sports and game activities on the playing field to ghost tours and kayaking on the Oosterschelde.
How far is camping Gorishoek from the beach?
There are some cozy little beaches on the island of Tholen, but if you really want to go to the North Sea beach, you are three quarters of an hour away by car.
