Stay in a newly built, bright and cosy house surrounded by rolling fields and grazing cows. This modern holiday home sits in the unique area of Sägnernas Hus – a small, atmospheric spot with its own folk tale museum, dance floor and boules court. It’s the perfect place if you love nature, swimming and a relaxed countryside vibe.

The house is designed with comfort and accessibility in mind, making it a great choice for families with children and for guests with reduced mobility. You enter into a light hallway, with a spacious, wheelchair-friendly bathroom with shower directly on your left. To your right you’ll find the first bedroom, decorated in soft tones and furnished with two comfortable single beds (90 cm), ideal for kids or friends. From here you look out over the courtyard and the surrounding landscape.

Straight ahead is the larger master bedroom, with an extra-wide bed and calm, harmonious decor – a lovely spot to unwind after a day outdoors. The open-plan living room and kitchen form the heart of the house. The living area has a cosy stove that crackles on cooler evenings, while the adjacent door leads you straight onto the terrace, where you can enjoy the warm evening sun.

The oak kitchen is solid, fresh and fully equipped, with a dining table for four. Outside your door you’ll find two marked hiking trails, and you can buy fishing licences on site. The farm and Sägnernas Hus are run by the friendly homeowners, who live a short distance away and are happy to help with tips about the area.

Sustainability plays an important role here: the farm is run organically, and solar panels are installed across the site. If you arrive with an electric car, you can charge it at the charging station next door. Travelling with a larger group? There are also pitches for caravans and glamping tents nearby.

In summer you can treat yourself to homemade cakes and good coffee in the on-site café – the strawberry cake is a favourite. Add in the nearby swimming spots, canoe rental, opportunities for hiking, fishing and even hunting, and you’ve got a holiday destination that really has to be experienced. It’s a wonderful place to slow down, get outside and make memories together.
