Looking for a relaxed getaway in the heart of Sweden with your friends? This attractive holiday home is the perfect base for a chilled break with nature, lakes and cosy evenings on the terrace.

The house is set in a quiet residential area, just a short walk from several beautiful swimming spots. Pack your towels, wander down to the water and start the day with a refreshing dip – you’ll probably have the place almost to yourselves.

Inside, the cottage has an open-plan kitchen and living room, so you can cook, chat and hang out together in one space. The modern kitchen is fully equipped for easy group dinners and long breakfasts. In the living area you’ll find a comfortable sofa bed for two, ideal for late-night talks or movie nights.

There are two separate bedrooms. One has two single beds, perfect for friends who want their own space. The other has a sturdy bunk bed that’s great for sharing. In total, the house sleeps up to six people. The bathroom is fresh and functional with a shower, washbasin, WC and a washing machine – handy if you’re staying a bit longer or coming back from a day of adventures.

The real social hub is outside. The spacious terrace features a large wooden bath barrel for up to eight people, available for use from May through August. It’s the perfect place to sink into warm water with a drink in hand as the sun sets. Visiting outside these months? You can still book the barrel separately with the owner for an extra fee. On the terrace you’ll also find comfortable outdoor furniture, and in the garden there’s a great barbecue area where you can grill, eat and relax together. A covered carport is included, so your car stays dry and close by.

The surroundings are a paradise if you love being outdoors. The area offers excellent fishing, but do keep in mind that different lakes require different fishing permits. The nearest village is Örserum, with a grocery store and a restaurant for quick supplies or an easy meal out.

Fancy a little road trip? The charming town of Gränna is just a short drive away. It’s famous for its stripy “polkagris” candy canes, and you can even watch how they’re made in the small factories. From Gränna you can hop on a boat to the idyllic island of Visingsö, where you can explore the island in a horse-drawn carriage.
