Wake up with sea views in this fantastic new cabin (built in 2023) on Väddö in the Norrtälje archipelago. Perched on a hill with a huge wooden deck and surrounded by untouched nature, this is the perfect hideaway if you’re looking for peace, comfort and a bit of luxury by the water.

Inside, everything feels open and bright. The living room, dining area and compact kitchen flow into one cozy space with large picture windows that frame the sea like a painting. While you’re cooking on the two induction hobs or using the combo oven/microwave, you can still soak up the view. Of course, there’s a coffee maker and all the basics you need for relaxed holiday meals. Play your favourite music via Sonos AirPlay and unwind after a day outside.

The bedroom has a comfortable 140 cm double bed and a smart TV, ideal for curling up in the evening. From here, a private door takes you straight out to the wood-fired hot tub with bubble function – a real treat on cooler evenings. On the ground floor you’ll also find a modern bathroom with shower, toilet and sink.

Need extra sleeping space? Climb up the ladder to the snug loft, where there are two additional beds. The loft has low headroom and the ladder is fairly steep and without a handrail, so it’s better suited for agile guests and older kids rather than very young children.

Outside is where this place truly shines. The spacious terrace wraps around the whole cabin and is divided into different “outdoor rooms”: a lounge corner for sunsets, a dining table for long meals, a charcoal grill, and sun loungers by the hot tub and sauna. The sauna, just next to the tub, is also wood-fired, and there’s a hot outdoor shower for that extra glamping feeling.

You’re just a short walk from the cliffs, where you can swim in the sea or cast a line and try your luck fishing. Prefer sand between your toes? The sandy beach at Sandvikens camping is about 1 km away. The owner’s summer house is nearby, but your deck and views are mostly private. There’s even a Wallbox charging station for your electric car (paid on-site) and a basketball court you’re welcome to use.

Explore Väddö with trips to Gamla Grisslehamn or Gåsvik for design shopping at Edblad, have coffee at Kröns Trädgård, or enjoy a good meal at Ankaret or Bonden och Burgaren. This cabin is a dreamy base for discovering Roslagen and the Stockholm Archipelago.
