Wake up to glittering water and birdsong at this cosy lakeside cabin on Lake Fjäturen in Sollentuna. Here you stay in the middle of peaceful nature, yet only a short drive from shops, cafés and the buzz of Stockholm – ideal if you want both tranquility and city life in one holiday.

The cabin is beautifully positioned just above the water, with large windows that frame the lake like a living painting. Inside, the open-plan kitchen and living room feel bright and airy, with plenty of natural light and direct access to the covered veranda. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can easily cook your favourite meals and enjoy them at the dining table by the window while you watch the light play on the water.

The cabin has two bedrooms: one with a comfortable double bed where you can wake up to a lake view every morning, and one with a bunk bed – perfect if you’re travelling with children or friends. The fresh bathroom comes with a shower, toilet, sink and a combined washer/dryer, so longer stays are easy and practical.

Just below the cabin you’ll find your own jetty with a rowing boat ready to use. Paddle out in the early morning mist or enjoy a calm evening on the water. For swimming, there’s a small, secluded beach just a few metres away via a short path, or you can take a refreshing dip from the nearby rocks.

The friendly host couple lives close by and is known for their excellent hospitality. Travelling with a larger group? They also rent out another cabin in the area, so you can holiday together but still have your own space. Please note that groups of young people are asked not to book; otherwise a deposit may be required.

The surroundings are perfect if you love being outdoors: discover the Roslagsleden trail, run forest paths, explore nearby lakes like Rösjön and Väsjön or head to the sea and the Stockholm Archipelago. Vaxholm, Sigtuna, Uppsala and central Stockholm are all within easy reach by car.

Bed linen can be rented on site (towels are not included and must be brought). Optional extras need to be booked at least 14 days before arrival and are paid directly to the homeowner.
