The Wonney's Glamping - 4 persons

Looking for a quirky place to stay in Northumberland? The Wonney’s Glamping cabin is a cosy, coastal-inspired hideaway that looks just like an upturned fishing boat – a playful nod to the traditional clinker boats once used along this wild coastline.

You’ll find the cabin tucked near the banks of Langley Dam, with uninterrupted views over the peaceful fishing lake and the sweeping Whitfield Moor beyond. Step out onto your private decking at the front for your morning coffee, then wander down to the gravelled side area with seating and a firepit/BBQ – the perfect spot for long, lazy evenings outdoors.

Inside, the cabin is compact but cleverly designed for up to four guests. The well-equipped kitchenette has everything you need for simple holiday cooking: a sink, kettle, toaster, fridge with small ice box, double ceramic hob and an electric oven with grill. An electric heater keeps things warm and snug on cooler days.

After a day exploring, stretch out and relax in front of the 28" smart TV with DVD player, or catch up online with the Wi-Fi. The private en-suite shower room comes with a flushing toilet, shower, sink and shaver socket – so you don’t have to compromise on your home comforts.

To make your stay extra special, you’ll find bird-spotting and stargazing guides ready for you, as well as OS Explorer maps so you can easily plan walks and adventures in the surrounding countryside. On clear nights, the dark skies here are incredible.

Travelling with kids? They’ll love the nautical-themed play area on site, complete with cargo net, slide, balance beams, a small boat and a raised boat platform for imaginative pirate games and sea adventures.

Please note: pets are not allowed in this cabin. If you’d like to bring your dog, you can opt for Wheatley’s or Blackcleugh instead.
