General information
Looking for a cosy nature escape between London and Bath? Daisy Glamping Pod is tucked away in a magical woodland clearing near historic Newbury in southern England. Set on 10 acres of private ancient woodland, this charming pod is made for couples or young families who want to unplug, explore and enjoy the outdoors.
Daisy Pod comfortably sleeps 2 adults in a double bed and up to 2 children on handy fold-out Z-beds, with all bedding and towels included. Kids can run wild in the woods, build camps, play on the tyre swing and collect fallen branches for the fire pits. You’ll have full access to the woodland, so there’s always a new corner to discover.
Outside, you’ll find a decked seating area where you can enjoy your morning coffee or relax with a drink as the sun goes down. The pod has its own private toilet, hot shower and sink, so you don’t have to share facilities. Inside, there’s electricity, heating and a fridge to keep things comfortable in every season.
Cooking is simple and fun thanks to the outdoor cooking station with a gas stove, BBQ, crockery, cutlery, pans, kettle and toaster. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk and bottled water are thoughtfully provided, so you can settle in straight away. There’s also a communal undercover seating area and a large brick firepit nearby – perfect for evenings by the fire. Just remember to bring your own wood, charcoal and tea lights.
The village of Woolton Hill is within walking distance and offers shops, a post office, three welcoming pubs and a monthly market. In the wider Newbury area you can visit Highclere Castle (known from Downton Abbey), take the kids to 4 Kingdoms Adventure Farm Park, wander through The Chase nature reserve, enjoy a day at Newbury Racecourse, explore local museums or join a canal boat trip to Hungerford.
With scenic walking and cycling routes all around, Daisy Glamping Pod is a great base if you want to leave the car parked and head out on foot or by bike. Do note that friendly free-roaming birds and dogs may wander past your pod from time to time. If you’re after a relaxed woodland break with simple comforts and plenty of adventure for the kids, this little glamping hideaway is a lovely choice.
