Escape together to 'Marared' Pipo Wagen, a cozy shepherd’s hut on the beautiful Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales. Hidden in the peaceful countryside and surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this romantic spot is perfect if you love nature but don’t want to compromise on comfort.

From your hut, you look straight out over the impressive Yr Eifl (The Rivals) mountains. You’re close to the border of Snowdonia National Park and just a short drive from the famous, Italian-inspired village of Portmeirion – ideal for day trips before retreating to your own quiet corner of Wales.

Inside, Marared feels warm and welcoming. The compact double bed is perfect for two, with bedding already prepared for you. There is a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, hob, fridge freezer, and a charming Belfast sink, making it easy to prepare your own meals. The ensuite bathroom has a flushing toilet and a wash basin, plus eco-friendly toiletries and soft towels, so you can travel light.

On colder evenings, light the wood-burning stove and make it extra cozy – logs for the first night are included. There is also a towel radiator to keep everything warm and dry, and an Anker Bluetooth speaker so you can add your own soundtrack to the sunset.

Outside, you’ll find a fire pit with logs, perfect for simple outdoor meals or for sitting together under the stars. There are tables and seating both inside and outside, so whether the weather is calm or wild, you always have a comfortable place to relax and enjoy the view.

Each of the five custom-made huts on the property – Joan, Susannah, Angharad, Marared and Elen – has its own character and style. Parking is conveniently right behind your hut, and with a minimum stay of three nights, you really get the chance to slow down, breathe in the fresh air, and unwind.
