Ruins and birds of prey (34-minute drive)
The castle ruins of Landskron are located at 660 meters. In addition to its fascinating history dating back to 1351, you will find a gourmet restaurant and an entertaining children's program with a puzzle rally. At the castle ruins you can enjoy an impressive bird of prey show, with giant eagles. Moreover, next to the castle is the Affenberg, Austria's largest open-air monkey enclosure with as many as 160 monkeys! Off the slopes in Nassfeld
With more than 110 kilometers of slopes, Nassfeld is the largest ski area in Carinthia. The Garnitzenklamm is a beautiful gorge near Möderndorf. Carved by the Gailitz River, the gorge offers a scenic path through narrow passages and along steep cliffs. Wooden walkways and bridges span the gorge, providing spectacular views of the flowing water and natural surroundings. Prima camping maar met wel nog wat verbeterpunten. Erg jammer dat er geen gemeenschappelijke gezellige plek/bar/restaurant is waar savonds muziek is en waar je een lekker drankje kunt drinken. En desnoods die vreselijke kinderanimatie op het podium. Met wijn en bier kan ik een hoop hebben. Het restaurant wat er is ligt net buiten de camping en daar heb ik nog nooit iemand zien zitten. Je zit er ook niet gezellig en het gaat pas na de lunch open. Gemiste kans. Sanitair is prima al zorgen al die verschillende gebouwen (ook in 1 gebouw weer drie plekken voor douches en toiletten) wel voor chaos. Campingwinkel 24/7 geopend is wel ideaal. Zwembaden zien er goed uit al heb ik er nig geen gebruik van genaakt omdat het afgrijselijk slecht weer is. Wij vluchten dan dus ook voor een paar dagen naar Italië. Maarja daar kan de camping niets aan doen. Fitness is leuk msar geen gebruik van vrmaakt vanwege de belachelijk hoge en absurde prijzen. Maak dat gewoon gratis voor je gasten. Ik ga liever sporten dan in een sauna.

Beetje vol en weinig privacy. Verder mooi Oostenrijks verzorgd. Sanitair, zwembad etc allemaal netjes schoon.
