Well, what can I say?
Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that there was no (short-term) parking zone for guests arriving or departing. I was also a little surprised to see only Dutch, Belgian, and Polish license plates; now I know why:
A campground with a swimming pond where dogs aren’t allowed on or around the grounds, even though you have to pay for them to stay. Dogs aren’t even welcome at the BeachBar—although yesterday there were three from a (presumably well-known) family there.
On Friday, there was a flea market and live music from a DJ at the bar, but I could hear it all the way from my spot, so I didn’t need to go there; unfortunately, there was nothing on Saturday.
There’s a snack bar at the campground, but it looks very run-down; that’s why I didn’t eat there.
The campground offers a bread roll service... but the whole-grain rolls yesterday were apparently already from the day before, so I didn’t order any for today.
The washhouse is quite old and has 4 toilets and 2 showers; waiting in line is inevitable.
I was assigned a spot with my van on a tent field along with three other tent campers. I don’t know if it’s a Belgian camping custom to relieve oneself right there on the site by a tree... but the stench from my urinating neighbor really bothered me.
Speaking of stench: they don’t have the trash under control either. There are no trash containers, so everyone leaves their trash on the sidewalk or next to the washhouse—much to the delight of the rats. Great.
The slab for draining gray water is fenced off in such a way that I absolutely couldn’t get my faucet to line up with it; everything ran
all over the place—sorry.
That’s probably why it looked like it hadn’t been used in years.
The staff at the front desk were very nice, but when I asked about the trash, they simply said the trash trucks had come by twice yesterday.
The best thing about the campground is the “Jachthuis” restaurant outside the campground.
Unfortunately, because of all these incidents, I really can’t recommend this campground.this is a translation, click here for the original
Tja, was soll man sagen?

We, a family with two children, had specifically looked for a place to stay near Beekse Bergen and Efteling.
The place was clean, with two bathrooms and a separate second toilet. It was listed as a 6-person accommodation, but there were only 5 chairs, 5 plates, and the entire set of dishes was only for 5 people 😅. Well, there were only 4 of us, but I thought I’d mention it just in case. Unfortunately, there was no coffee maker—just a Senseo—and there wasn’t a toaster either. That’s why I’m deducting one star for the room and amenities. The staff was very friendly—we seemed to get lucky—and there was a flea market on the grounds on Friday. The private lake is, of course, a game-changer when you’re there with kids, and the shallow-water area is also large and great if the kids can’t swim yet. The nights were quiet; there’s no air conditioning, but the owner can’t be blamed for the high temperatures 😅. You can buy all the little essentials at the front desk. From food and drinks to toiletries and even swim rings—you can buy everything there. There’s also a beach bar, a playground, table tennis, and mini-golf.
We highly recommend this place and might even come back. 😀this is a translation, click here for the original

Grest campsite, nice and spacious campervan pitch. Loved the swimming lake and kids play areas. Clean facilities, could do with a few more showers. Friendly reception staff. Returning for a 2nd visit.

We stayed in a log cabin.
It was a lot of fun.
It was basic, but we knew that going in.
The restroom building was nice and clean.
We thought the park would have more to offer.
The lake is really nice, but there’s not much else for kids to do on hot days.
It is a park where a lot of regulars stay.
We had a great time for two days by the lake with the bouncy castle.this is a translation, click here for the original
Wij gingen in een blokhut.
Harstikke leuk.
Premitief maar dat wisten we.
Toilet gebouw netjes schoon
