The campground is well-suited for cyclists who want to explore the surrounding area or for e-bike riders heading toward Antwerp, for example. For us personally, however, it’s more of a place to stay for a few days.
Unfortunately, the swimming facilities—specifically the inflatable pool—don’t really encourage you to stay for very long. What … disappointed us the most, however, were the restroom facilities. They look as if they haven’t been properly maintained or modernized in many years and are consequently quite outdated.
We see significant room for improvement, especially when it comes to the restroom facilities. A renovation or regular maintenance would significantly improve the overall impression of the campground. You can’t see yourself in the mirror unless you sit down; you can’t turn on the faucet because you need one hand to hold it down the whole time, and unfortunately, we didn’t have three hands. As seen in the video 🤓, the daily cleaning by the cleaning crew was fine, but when you have old restroom facilities, you don’t really see much of a difference after they’ve been cleaned. Der Campingplatz ist für Fahrradfahrer, die die Umgebung erkunden möchten, oder für E-Bike-Fahrer, die beispielsweise in Richtung Antwerpen unterwegs sind, gut geeignet. Für uns persönlich ist er allerdings eher eine Möglichkeit, für ein paar Tage dort zu bleiben.
Die Schwimmmöglichkeiten beziehungsweise das aufblasbare Schwimmbecken laden leider nicht unbedingt zum längeren Verweilen ein. Am meisten enttäuscht hat uns jedoch die sanitäre Einrichtung. Diese wirkt, als wäre sie seit vielen Jahren nicht mehr richtig gewartet oder modernisiert worden, und ist entsprechend deutlich in die Jahre gekommen.
Gerade bei den Sanitäranlagen sehen wir großes Verbesserungspotenzial. Eine Renovierung beziehungsweise regelmäßige Instandhaltung würde den Gesamteindruck des Campingplatzes deutlich verbessern. Im Spiel kann man sich nicht sehen außer man setzt sich hin den Wasserhahn kann man nicht betätigen da man eine Hand dauerhaft braucht zum draufdrücken und wir hatten leider keine drei Hände. Wie im Video zu sehen 🤓 das tägliche Reinigen der putzkolonne war soweit in Ordnung aber wenn man alte Sanitäranlagen hat sieht man nicht viel vom gereinigten. Deswegen danke ich dem Team die den Schmutz wegmachen mussten von Leuten die sich nicht benehmen konnten... (Auf der Toilette) 😏 -

A campground in the woods, about 1.5 km from the bus stop, but the walk along the canal is well worth it. Spacious and quiet campsites despite the many long-term campers. The bathrooms are a bit dated (you can tell by the limescale in the showers) but very clean and well-stocked with amenities (soap and towels). The receptionist was very helpful and friendly.

Campeggio in un bosco a circa 1,5 km. dalla fermata del bus ma la passeggiata lungo il canale ripaga. Piazzole ampie e tranquille nonostante i numerosi stanziali. Bagni datati (lo si nota anche dal calcare nelle docce) ma molto puliti e dotati di servizi (sapone e asciugamani). L'addetta alla reception molto disponibile e cordiale.
