Looking for a cosy hideaway for just the two of you? This private woodland chalet in Opglabbeek is made for couples who love nature, peace and a bit of adventure. Hidden between the trees and only 100 m from a tranquil lake, it’s the perfect place to switch off, slow down and simply be together.

Inside, you’ll find a charming living and sleeping area with a snug double box bed, a TV, stove and DVD player. It’s compact, warm and super cosy – ideal for lazy mornings and movie nights after a day outdoors. The bathroom completes your comfortable stay, so you’ve got everything you need in one intimate space.

Step outside onto your private terrace and enjoy direct views of the water. Start your day with a quiet coffee while the forest wakes up around you, or end the evening with a glass of wine and the sound of nature in the background. There’s also a barbecue ready for you, so you can grill your favourite dishes and dine outside in the fresh forest air.

The real highlight for many guests is the exclusive access to the private fishpond. Here you can fish for carp and rock bass in complete tranquillity – just you, your partner and the water. It’s a dream spot for anglers and anyone who loves being near the lake.

Despite the secluded feel, you’re never far from things to do. Forest trails invite you to go for long walks right from your door. The tiny house is cosy and fully equipped with all necessary amenities, from a comfortable bed in the sleeping alcove to a pleasant pellet stove for cooler evenings. Guests appreciate the cleanliness and thoughtful layout, with everything present for a comfortable stay. The view of the pond from the spacious terrace is breathtaking, and the fenced garden gives dogs complete freedom to play.

    This is the eighth year in a row that we’ve spent two weeks at the Wijerschans in Opglabbeek. And we had a fantastic time again. It’s a little paradise for us and our dog. The peace and quiet you experience there is incredible. The cottage isn’t big, but it has everything you need. And it’s clean and tidy. We were welcomed very warmly by the new owner, who resolved the few minor issues immediately and with great enthusiasm. We’ve already booked another two weeks for next year.     We zijn nu voor het 8ste jaar 2 weken naar de Wijerschans in Opglabbeek geweest. En het is ons weer fantastisch bevallen . Het voor ons en ons hondje een klein paradijs. De rust die je daar ondervindt is ongelooflijk. Het huisje is niet groot maar alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. En het is schoon en netjes. We werden heel vriendelijk ontvangen door de nieuwe eigenaar. Die de paar kleine probleempje direct en vol enthousiasme oploste. We hebben voor volgend jaar al weer 2 weken geboekt.
