Good reception in Dutch. Plumbing is ok. Campground is situated on a hill and is a good starting point for walks and exploring by bike the charming border region of Belgium-France-Luxembourg (citadel of Montmédy, wine village Torgny, abbey of Orval etc.). But also good transit campground on the way to the south. The campground is basically large field with terraces. Asphalt roads and round plateaus connect the pitches. Camping was quiet in early September and totally fine for us. Sympathetic, moreover, is that the campground is not for profit, but belongs to a non-profit organization.

Goede ontvangst in het Nederlands. Sanitair is ok.

Upon arrival, we were shocked by the very poor paving, all broken pieces of concrete. It was not yet crowded, which gave it a desolate look. If only that would be renewed, the whole campground would already look better. Anyway, we soon got used to that. The arrangement in squares is nicely thought out. Because of the limited space next to your caravan, your car is in front of your tent in many places, so the contact with the square disappears. When we put the car elsewhere on the campsite, it felt completely comfortable. Despite little privacy (no hedges and such), the spot was otherwise okay (well if the car was gone then). The plumbing was under-maintained and we noticed how quickly the (very young) staff always finished cleaning those glamping tents. Sometimes they drove back after only 5 minutes. Because my child didn't want to take a shower because of the freezing cold showers, I (as a mom) went with him to the gents. There the water was nice and hot, but it smelled like we had ended up in a horse stable. It was soooo dirty, ammonia smell, unbearable. Perhaps opening a few windows would do the trick. Swimming pool was cool, playground was good, animation lacked some enthusiasm, but acceptable. The kids had a wonderful vacation. This was due to the freedom that was possible on the site and the distance to the village. There was no possibility for water on the site or a private drain for the water. It was not an expensive campsite, but next time we would gladly pay a little more for more comfort , hygiene and nice, hot showers.
