What great service—you don’t even need to set an alarm at this campground. On the other hand, sleeping in is also total madness. You’ll be woken up at 4:30 a.m. by a dog owner who lives along the water near the campground. He’s looking for his escaped dog, and he does so by shouting and whistling at the top of his lungs. But… if you manage to … sleep through that, there’s a second wake-up service. Called “The Guaranteed Start to Your Day,” it starts at 7:45 a.m. and continues nonstop until around 8:30 a.m. Now you’re wondering who or what is so persistent… Dog barking. From this same owner. The dogs bark at absolutely everything. Even at NOTHING—no movement, no sound—they feel the need to bark. But that’s actually handy, since they’re there to wake you up. There has to be some sign of life before they can stop.
Anyway, time for a hot shower! Yes, it’s hot! But comfortable? NO! The stream falls straight down, so you practically have to stand right up against the wall to get wet. And it turns off again after (I think) 10–15 seconds. You’re constantly pressing that button. Washing hair that’s a little over 20 cm long is impossible. Before you’ve even managed to get your hands to your hair to rinse out the soap, you have to press that button again.
Getting dressed is also pretty tricky. The stalls are incredibly cramped. You have exactly one hook to hang your things on and a tiny corner shelf to put your clothes on.
Other than that, it all looks pretty new and neat. And, in my opinion, most of it is relatively clean.

Ironically… dogs are very welcome here, which is why there are no (dog) trash cans along the paths, and the concept of poop bag dispensers is likely unknown in this area. That’s actually pretty nice =)

Update: Dogs escape very frequently. After the dogs had escaped three times today, and following an inquiry at the front desk, the owner came home to bring them back. This man completely lost his temper at the dogs, while (on the other side of the hedge) a few children, half-crying, witnessed the whole thing.
This situation has apparently been going on for some time, but it’s still unpleasant—especially to see someone get so incredibly worked up over a bunch of far-too-smart animals that are really just bored out of their minds and escape for that reason. Read more Show less

We can't rate the rooms or service since we're traveling in a trailer. A beautifully situated campground in the Ardennes. The area is perfect for hiking.

A top location for my first camping experience! We had a lovely spot by the river with our tent. Great service—kudos to the staff. Good hygiene, too! In that regard, a grating over the steps leading to the restrooms on the bocce court side would be helpful. It’s a shame to have to clean it only to walk over it with grass-stained shoes and make it dirty again. Definitely worth a return visit and highly recommended for everyone—young and old alike!
