Explore Zwin Nature Park
Visit Zwin Nature Park on the Belgian-Dutch border. This nature park is a large tidal area where saltwater and freshwater environments merge. Follow one of the walking or cycling routes through the reserve and keep your eyes open for waders, geese and rarer migratory species. Those who want a broader view can climb the panoramic tower for sweeping views over the area. During your visit, stop by the Nature Education Centre and read more about the ecosystem or the birds that overwinter here.

Taste Belgian chocolate at Chocolate Story
At Chocolate Story in Bruges, you follow the journey from cocoa bean to chocolate bar. The museum shows how Belgian chocolate built its reputation, from the first cocoa trade to today's finest pralines. In the demonstration centre, you can see how the chocolatiers make chocolate, and yes, of course you can taste what is being made. Afterwards, you will understand exactly why nobody leaves without taking a bag with them!
Walk through the historic centre of Bruges
Experience a day full of history, canals and Belgian charm in Bruges. Walk through the medieval centre, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and discover atmospheric streets, old façades and bridges over the canals, also known as reien. From the Market Square, you can easily walk to the Belfry and the Burg, while along the way you will find plenty of places for coffee, chocolate, lunch or a drink on a terrace. Minnewater Park and the Beguinage are also lovely stops for those who want to discover the quiet side of the city. Bruges is compact enough to explore on foot, yet special enough to spend an entire day there. Head out and discover why Bruges is so beloved.
Visit the remarkable Sea Life
During your stay, dive into the underwater world of SEA LIFE Blankenberge and discover more than 50 aquariums full of marine animals. You will pass piranhas, sharks, seahorses, penguins, otters and seals, while learning more about rivers, seas and oceans along the way. The seal hospital is particularly special, where stranded or orphaned seals are taken in, cared for and prepared for their return to the sea. In the outdoor area, you can meet Humboldt penguins, otters and seals, and during feeding times you can see the animals up close. A visit is educational, varied and fun for the whole family. Step inside and discover how much life is hidden beneath and around the water.
Practical information
-
Pets are welcome at the park in some of the accommodations. Select your pet(s) under the number of travellers to see which accommodations allow pets.
-
Fireworks-free: this holiday park is completely fireworks-free during the New Year period. You are therefore not allowed to set off fireworks – not even on a small scale – and this is actively monitored. This makes the park a pleasant place for those seeking peace and quiet during the holidays, for example if you have a pet or are visiting with young children who do not like fireworks. The park is also located in a municipality where fireworks are prohibited. Very little fireworks activity is therefore expected in the immediate surroundings, although we cannot guarantee this completely.

Summary created out of 117 reviews
The park is within walking distance of the beach and offers spacious, well-equipped lodges that are often experienced as clean and comfortable. The location is ideal for visiting nearby coastal towns and cities such as Bruges and Ghent. Unfortunately, cleanliness upon arrival regularly falls short, with complaints about dirty windows, pests (including cockroaches), mould, and insufficiently cleaned corners. The lodges are close together resulting in limited privacy, and the park itself lacks facilities such as a swimming pool, restaurant, or shop. Maintenance and service need improvement, and guests report issues with broken appliances and poor communication from staff.

After Roompot Park became a Landal Park, we wanted to give the concept another chance.
Unfortunately, nothing has changed!
A lot of money for very little in return.
Cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Just look at that broom—am I supposed to sweep with that?
A faucet in the bathroom is so encrusted with limescale … that the water sprays in all directions—and only a very weak stream at that.
At first glance, a lot of it looks clean, but you shouldn’t look too closely.
Towels cost extra, bed linens cost extra (and then you have to put them on yourself if you don’t want to pay even more).
We brought our own fitted sheets because they only put loose sheets on the mattresses here—guaranteed to slip off.
Rusty silverware.
1 trash bag, 3 rolls of toilet paper, and a tiny bottle of dish soap. No liquid soap in the bathroom. How are you supposed to wash your hands?
You have to bring everything yourself and it’s best to leave it there so it gets taken away, leaving the next guest with nothing again.
Not even paper towels—nothing!
There’s a coffee maker, okay, but not even a toaster!
The house is large, but extremely poorly furnished—no shelves in the bathroom, no chairs in the large bedrooms, so you can’t even set your clothes down.
In other countries, it’s standard to have kitchen staples (salt, pepper, sugar). Not here either: of course, nothing!
And best of all: you can’t even get into the house (probably via remote access) until exactly 4:00 p.m. It doesn’t matter if the house has been empty for weeks—it’s apparently a matter of principle here. It sounds so terribly German that it’s hard to believe this is how things work here in Belgium.
One room was located near the nearby “real” campground. Apparently, some kind of generator or similar device runs there several times a day (including in the evening and early in the morning). It sounds like three old diesel tractors are parked on the street—wonderfully relaxing, especially at 6:15 a.m. or after 11:00 p.m.
Oh, and of course, you’re supposed to strip the beds at the end to make it easier for the cleaning staff (so they have more time to clean less?!). That can’t be right.
I could go on writing for hours, but it won’t change anything. We definitely won’t fall for this “better” trailer again.this is a translation, click here for the original

Complaints? There’s always something to complain about—after all, I’m German. For example, some corners were cleaner when we left than when we arrived.
But whatever: the four of us stayed in a “Comfort 4” house and had a great time. The beds were OK, and the bathroom and kitchen were functional.
You should know that the stairs are very steep.this is a translation, click here for the original
Meckern?

The house was very spacious and clean. We’d love to come back anytime. Overall, the park is very densely built up—house after house, chalet after chalet. The town of Bredene isn’t that pretty, but the beach is amazing. The service was good, even though it was very crowded. Once, the Wi-Fi wasn’t working, and our coffee maker was broken. A very nice staff member took care of it right away.

Das Haus war sehr geräumig und sauber. Immer wieder gerne.
