Visit Brijuni National Park

In the water opposite the glamping are the Brijuni Islands. This is a group of 14 islands and today one of Croatia's National Parks. The largest island can be visited. Buy tickets at the port of Fažana and, after a 20-minute boat ride, find yourself at this special place. Once on the island, there is a lot to discover! Take a nice hike, spot unusual birds or take a dip in the water. Visit a Roman villa, take the kids to the safari park or try to find dinosaur footprints while walking around the island. Who knows, you might also come across wild peacocks. Not to be missed while spending a night at glamping Bi Village in Croatia.

Explore the center of Fažana

The center of Fažana is a 5-minute drive or just under a 20-minute walk from this glamping in Croatia. Once you arrive in the center of the fishing village, you will be met by beautiful sights and great views of the sea. Stroll through the historic center, watch the sunset from the boardwalk and head toward one of the restaurants to taste the flavor of the region. The specialty in the region of Istria is the sardines, you are going to find this on most menus. Indulge your taste buds by ordering a local wine, such as a Malvasia or Moscato. A good end to a nice trip near the campsite!

Into the trees at Jangalooz Adventure Park

For adventure, you don't have to travel far because Jangalooz Adventure Park is located at the glamping site. Follow one of the climbing routes from 1.5 to 10 meters high, go down the zipline, jump on the trampolines or try the climbing wall. There is plenty to do for young and old alike! Afterwards, you will arrive back at the glamping site exhausted and relax in the luxury safari tents in Istria.

Winding through the streets of Rovinj

A half-hour drive from the glamping is the town of Rovinj. With colorful houses, winding streets and a coastal location, this is a fun destination for a day trip. Visit St. Euphemia's Church, bring your swimwear for a dip and get lost in the historic center. Don't skip the market on the promenade and score fun souvenirs to take home!

Guests appreciate the central location between Fažana and Pula, the spacious accommodations and extensive facilities such as three swimming pools, animation and restaurants. We arrived today and asked our parents if we could have adjacent campsites. We had already made our reservation back in January. Upon arrival, we were told there was supposedly no way to accommodate our request for adjacent sites. But when we checked in, there were definitely still vacant sites available—at least across from each other. So we asked again, politely. The lady didn’t even check the system; she just said that the vacant spot we’d seen was already taken and that everything was overbooked. Sorry, but that’s not what I consider good service—especially since there are clearly still vacant spots available.

It’s a nice place in itself, but we probably won’t be returning. After all, you don’t book a family vacation for nothing and ask the campground in advance for spots next to each other. You don’t want to be separated. There are campgrounds in the region where service is a much higher priority.

As a family of five, we spent two weeks at BiVillage in Fažana. First off: We had a wonderful vacation. However, that was mainly due to the Istria region and much less to the campground itself.
    The positives
The region around Fažana and Pula is beautiful. The sea is crystal-clear, and there are excellent opportunities for day trips.
    Our highlights were:
The guided tour of the Brijuni Islands
The fascinating history of Yugoslavia and Croatia
    Kayaking tours along the coast
    Cliff jumping at Uvala Mulij
    Boat trips and dolphin-watching excursions
The many small coves and the unique coastal landscape
If you enjoy being active, will definitely get their money’s worth in Istria. In our opinion, the Italian Adriatic simply can’t compete in this regard. We’d also like to give special praise to the food at the campground. The restaurants impressed us across the board.
    The downsides
Unfortunately, the campground couldn’t measure up to the beauty of the surrounding area.
    Pools
BiVillage advertises three pools. While they are technically there, they didn’t really impress us.
Some of the pools look old and poorly maintained.
    The water was sometimes murky.
The restroom facilities near the pools are visually unappealing.
There are no pool bars or kiosks.
We would have expected much more from a 4-star campground.
    Kids Club
Our 7-year-old daughter attended the Kids Club so that we parents could have an afternoon to ourselves.
Unfortunately, the staff were mainly busy with a large promotional poster. The children were barely involved and were largely left to their own devices.
We don’t want to drop our children off all day. However, when a Kids Club is offered, we expect active supervision and an engaging program. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here.
    Wi-Fi
The Wi-Fi was disappointing by today’s standards.
    Slow
    Unstable
Constantly had to log in again
We have two teenagers, ages 12 and 14. In 2026, reliable Wi-Fi is part of the basic infrastructure of a vacation resort for many families.
    Cleanliness and Maintenance
For us, this is the campground’s biggest weakness.
    Many areas appear poorly maintained.
There was trash scattered among some of the mobile homes.
    The restrooms weren’t always clean.
The Sports Bar even lacked soap dispensers and towels.
The entire facility looks like it needs renovation in places.
    Smoking
We found it particularly bothersome that smoking is allowed practically everywhere.
In the indoor Sports Bar, we were at times reminded of the days before smoking bans. In our view, this is no longer appropriate for families with children.
    Traffic on the campground
Cars are allowed to park right in front of many bungalows.
As a result, cars, cyclists, pedestrians, and children playing all share the same narrow roads. With vehicles getting bigger and bigger these days, we found this to be dangerous at times.
    Value for money
We paid around CHF 3,200 for our mobile home for two weeks.
At this price, we expect significantly better maintenance and more modern infrastructure.
    Important to note:
Pools, the Kids Club, and entertainment are included in the price.
The frequently mentioned additional costs mainly include:
    Beach chairs and umbrellas
    The floating Wibit water park
    Bike rentals
    Various recreational activities
We found some of these to be very expensive.
Overall, we had the impression that price levels in Istria are now, in some cases, on par with those in Switzerland.
    Conclusion
    We loved Istria:
    beautiful nature
    gorgeous sea
    Brijuni Islands
    kayaking tours
    dolphins
    countless excursion options
The BiVillage campground, on the other hand, failed to meet our expectations for a 4-star campground:

We would travel to Istria again in a heartbeat.
As for whether we’d book at BiVillage again—probably not. The entertainment, cleanliness, Wi-Fi, kids’ club, pool facilities, and overall value for money just didn’t impress us enough.

    Viele Bereiche wirken schlecht gepflegt.
Unter den Mobile Homes lag teilweise Abfall.
    Toiletten waren nicht immer sauber.
In der Sports Bar fehlten sogar Seifenspender und Handtücher.
Die gesamte Anlage wirkt stellenweise renovierungsbedürftig.
    Rauchen
