Camping Lanterna is an extensive holiday park located directly on the Adriatic coast, featuring a wide range of facilities including swimming pools, an aquapark, a sandy beach, and various restaurants. Guests particularly appreciate the cleanliness, friendly staff, modern sanitary facilities, and the wide selection of children's activities. The park offers a well-maintained environment with plenty of entertainment and sports opportunities. The main points of attention are the high prices for extras such as sun loungers, food and drinks, the large distances across the site requiring bikes or scooters, and the crowds during high season when pools and beaches can be overcrowded.

The mobile home was clean and functional. Although the 6-person unit was only moderately suitable for 5... (uncomfortable sofa bed)
We were pleasantly surprised by the second bathroom, as well as the sheets and towels provided.
The location was great for its ocean view and its proximity to the pebble beach. But it was way too far from the front desk and the sandy beach.
The kids’ pool was awesome +++
The restaurant was overpriced, as were the shops (and the supermarket, too). Too many electric scooters zipping around recklessly on the roads. Overall impression of the town and its surroundings: left a bad impression on us tourists!
A car is necessary to visit Poreč (~20 min) and parking is expensive.this is a translation, click here for the original

Unfortunately, a huge disappointment—once and never again!
Generally speaking, the campground is in a beautiful location and offers an incredible amount for children. There are plenty of activities and things to do, so families could generally have a great time here.
Unfortunately, the decision to come here was a mistake for us.
Of course, we were aware that this is a large campground with over 1,000 sites—that was also clear on the website. Since we couldn’t find any other options, we booked it anyway. Now we know: We wouldn’t do it again, and we’re even considering leaving early.
It’s completely understandable that an operator wants to make money. But the way every single square meter is used to the max here, with people packed in so tightly, has nothing to do with a relaxing camping vacation for us.
We find it particularly disappointing that many activities for children require an additional fee. It wasn’t sufficiently clear to us on the website to what extent additional costs would arise. Anyone with children knows: When kids want to see and experience something, it’s hard to constantly have to say “no.” In our view, the prices for many of these activities are completely excessive.
For example, an Oreo ice cream at the stand right by the water costs €8.50. That’s even more expensive than at many German highway rest stops. The water park also requires an additional fee. An hour of jet skiing for €120 might still be reasonable for some—though there’s no option to book the activity for a shorter period.
At the bakery, four rolls and two croissants cost over ten euros. To me, that borders on extortion. Of course, you don’t have to buy them—that’s obvious. But charging that much anyway is an outrage.
Another major issue is the swimming pool. The description states that they take care not to let too many people in so that everyone can still have fun there. Unfortunately, we can’t confirm that at all. The pool was absolutely overcrowded and completely chaotic for us. At the kids’ pool, the only option was to choose lounge chairs, which you then had to pay for as well. There was no reasonable way to simply lie down there and watch your children or at least keep them in sight. You had to rent lounge chairs if you wanted a spot at all.
The campground store, on the other hand, deserves a positive mention. The prices are reasonable by comparison, and the selection is good. We especially like the fresh meat and deli counter.
What we find absolutely unacceptable, however—and what mainly influences our rating—is:
The traffic at the campground.
Cars drive through here nonstop all day long. It feels like many drivers significantly exceed the 20 km/h speed limit. We find it particularly bad that even at crosswalks, drivers sometimes show no consideration for children.
The traffic starts around 7 a.m. and continues until midnight. Even after that, scooters are still zipping across the site. Some teenagers are out and about until 2 or even 3 a.m., shouting and showing no consideration for other guests.
Given the size of the site and the number of people, some litter is to be expected, of course. Nevertheless, we feel that the cleanup is too slow and insufficient.
Our conclusion:
A campground with a lot of potential and great activities for kids—but due to the extreme cramped conditions, the additional costs, the constant traffic, the overcrowded pool, and the lack of a peaceful night’s sleep, it unfortunately wasn’t a relaxing experience for us.
For us, it’s a one-time visit—never again.this is a translation, click here for the original
