Summary created out of 196 reviews

The campsite is praised for its extremely friendly and helpful staff, from reception to the cleaning team. The seaside location with beautifully clear water and a pleasant walking route to the town of Krk is a major plus. Guests particularly appreciate the modern, spotlessly clean sanitary facilities that are continuously maintained. The spacious pitches, well-kept grounds with plenty of greenery, and excellent facilities such as the pool, kids' club, and dog beach contribute to a relaxing holiday experience, although the high prices and occasionally limited space on certain pitches draw criticism.

Here’s a more lighthearted review with a touch of humor, without getting unreasonable.

We stayed at Valamar Camping Krk with our family for two weeks in July 2026. The campground really has everything you need: swimming pools, a lovely beach, a restaurant, takeout options, two restroom buildings, an arcade, sports fields, a bakery, and a campground store. So, on paper, it’s a campground where you can have a great time.

Four years ago, we stayed at Valamar Istra in Poreč. That might have set the bar high… but to be fair: Camping Krk unfortunately doesn’t quite measure up.

The vacation starts right off with an exciting game of “Where do I park my RV?” The parking lot at the reception is so limited that, if several guests arrive at the same time, you’ll find yourself waiting with your RV on the public road. Free traffic jam experience included.

Restaurant Oliva wasn’t a culinary highlight for us. The food fills you up, but it probably won’t make it into your vacation memories.

The restroom building on the main road looks neat and is kept fantastically clean. A big compliment to the cleaning staff! Only the route to the women’s restrooms is a unique olfactory experience: first past the trash containers, then past the chemical toilets. Your nose gets a full vacation experience there. And if you want to do the dishes? Then the water is ideal... if you like it lukewarm.

Fortunately, there’s a second restroom building, and we liked that one a lot better.

The washing machines work great, but for €10 per load, you secretly expect them to fold the laundry and bring it back to your RV.

Our 12- and 15-year-old kids ended up having a great time, but that was mainly because they made friends quickly. Without those vacation friendships, there’s surprisingly little for teenagers to do. For younger children, the activities are fine, but teenagers really need to bring their own entertainment.

What we did really like: the campground is quiet, the facilities are complete, and thankfully, there aren’t any lifeguards at the pool blowing their whistles as if they’re auditioning for the national soccer team.

In short: a neat, quiet campground with good basic amenities. Just don’t expect the same level of quality as Valamar Istra.

We had a great experience at Valamar Camping Krk! It’s perfect for families with children ages 2 and up. There are three pools with water play areas that are perfect for little ones, and the kids’ club is right next to the pool, staffed by very friendly and skilled caregivers. The campsites are clean and spacious, and the restrooms are new and always clean. One downside regarding our visit to the town of Krk: no one had told us there was a shuttle bus from the campground to town, so we followed the receptionist’s advice and walked along a dark, unpaved road full of rocks with a stroller—absolutely NOT recommended for families!

Dear management of Vallamar Camping Krk #5. It’s a beautiful campground with friendly people and great service, but this loud music with bass beats blaring at concert volume until 2:30 a.m. is completely unacceptable. There are lots of families with children here; people come to your campground to relax and pay a lot of money for great spots in the first two rows, only to be subjected to this noise until 2:30 a.m. Honestly, I’d demand my money back. You need to take action here. You need to work with the city of Krk to find a different solution. An event this loud in this location—with the town and the mountains behind it—and with excessively loud music acts like a giant speaker, blasting the music across the Adriatic into the entire bay. Then you need to write: “Quiet hours from midnight to 7 a.m., except on days with city concerts, when the quiet hours don’t start until 2:30 a.m.”
