Valamar Camping Baška

During the first week of September, my family and I spent our holiday in a mobile home in Baška, at Valamar Camping Baška. We reserved mobile home with the half-board package at the nearby Sunny Baška Hotel.
The food was generally good. The dining area was often quite busy. While the breakfast selection tended to be somewhat repetitive, the … dinner buffet offered a wider variety, and there was always something enjoyable to choose from.
The campsite itself is well-maintained and attractively arranged, with a small swimming pool available for both children and adults. One aspect that is not entirely obvious from the campsite maps and promotional photos is that a road separates part of the campsite with another part and from the beach. Families with very young children may find this slightly inconvenient at first, as it involves passing through gates, keeping an eye on little ones near the road, and carrying beach equipment at the same time. However, for couples, solo travelers, or families with older children, this is hardly an issue.
As the campsite is dog-friendly, we unfortunately came across a few instances of dog waste that had not been cleaned up. While this is certainly not the fault of the campsite itself, it reflects the behavior of a small number of inconsiderate guests.
The beach is absolutely beautiful, colour of water is sometimes turquoise and beach has excellent access to the sea via a combination of small pebbles and sandy areas, making it particularly suitable for families with children.
Our mobile home was comfortable, although it was a bit older. A dishwasher would have been a welcome addition.
The biggest disappointment, however, was the absence of the Maro Disco. I had not come across this information when making the reservation, and my children had been particularly excited about it. Given that the campsite was full of families and children, I know many other guests may have felt similarly disappointed. Had I known in advance that the Maro Disco was not available, I would likely have chosen a different Valamar campsite, as this activity represents a significant added value for our family holidays.
Finally, the children's playground is quite small and rather limited considering the size of the campsite and the large number of families staying there.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay thanks to the beautiful beach, pleasant surroundings, and well-kept campsite. Read more Show less

Great campground. However, we wouldn't book a spot in the front row again because the wind blows you right away, and it gets very noisy in the summer due to all the swimmers.
