Hidden at the very end of a gravel road, surrounded by forest, fields and rolling horse pastures, this cosy wooden cottage near Tisvildeleje is your own private fairytale hideaway. Here you stay in the middle of nature, with nothing but birdsong, rustling trees and the occasional deer for company – yet the beach and lively summer town are only a short drive away.

The 100 m² summer house feels warm and welcoming from the moment you step inside. The large open-space bedroom, dining room and living room flow into each other, creating a bright and airy place to relax. The original brick fireplace with wood-burning stove is the heart of the house and adds instant hygge on cooler days or long evenings with a glass of wine and a good book.

Next to the living room you’ll find a smaller room that works perfectly as an extra bedroom. Thanks to the big windows, this room is filled with natural light and has a calming view of the surrounding forest – ideal for slow mornings or an afternoon nap. From almost every window in the cottage you look straight out onto nature, so you’re constantly reminded that you’re away from it all.

The new, charming kitchen is made for long breakfasts and relaxed dinners. From the dining area you look down at a small lake, where red deer often appear in the early morning when everything is quiet. It’s the kind of view that makes you want to linger at the table just a little bit longer.

The house lies in the protected Arrenakke Hills, one of the most beautiful nature areas in North Zealand. Hike up to the top and, on a clear day, you can see the Kattegat, Arresø and Roskilde Fjord all at once. After a day of walking or swimming, you return to complete peace and privacy at the cottage.

Behind the house you’ll find the old camp school (DanCenter house no. 51786), but there is a natural boundary between the two plots, so you keep your own quiet oasis. The cottage sleeps up to 4 people and is perfect for couples, a small family, or friends who want to disconnect, slow down and enjoy Danish nature at its very best. Check-in is from 16:00, check-out until 10:00. A refundable deposit may be required to cover utilities and any extra services used during your stay.
