Located between two beautiful lakes through which the Gudenå flows, this campsite offers everything for a perect family vacation. Enjoy canoeing on the river, fishing in the lakes or walks along the shores where you can spot deer, goats and cows. For the children we have a heated swimming pool with slides, exciting playgrounds and cuddly goats. Horsens, Vejle, Silkeborg and Aarhus are a short drive away and you can be in LEGOLAND in less than an hour.

The Lion Park in Givskud

    We spent a few wonderful days at Vestbirk Camping. Great location near the forest and lake! Our campsite was spacious, with lots of trees and hedges, barbecue areas, playgrounds with a zip line, etc., as well as ping-pong tables, mini-golf, and more. The highlights for our kids were the awesome pool with the water slides and the goat pen. One day we booked a canoe trip—it started right at the campground, and we took the Modstrøm bus back. Super easy and a great experience for the whole family. The staff is friendly. One small drawback is that you can’t leave the campground by car until 8 a.m.—it’s good to know that. All in all, it was great—we’d love to come back!

    Wir haben ein paar schöne Tage bei Vestbirk Camping verbracht. Tolle Lage zu Wald und See! Unser Stellplatz war großzügig, es gibt viele Bäume und Hecken, Grillmöglichkeiten, Spielplätze mit Seilbahn usw, Tischtennisplatten, Minigolf etc. Das Highlight für unsere Kinder waren der tolle Pool mit den Wasserrutschen und das Gehege mit den Ziegen. An einem Tag haben wir eine Kanutour gebucht, Start genau beim Campingplatz und dann mit dem Modstrømsbus zurück. Super easy und ein tolles Erlebnis für die ganze Familie. Das Personal ist freundlich. Eine kleine Einschränkung ist, dass man morgens erst um 8 Uhr mit dem Auto vom Platz fahren kann, das muss man wissen. Alles in allem top, wir kommen gerne wieder!

    A place where you can safely stay near a lake close to the Gudenå River. The lake has undergone restructuring as part of the Gudenå River project, but the actual work involving large excavators is nearly complete and does not disturb the campers. Swimming in the lake is currently not permitted. Friendly staff with a small kiosk where you can buy essentials, good parking facilities, and ample space for RVs.

    Et sted hvor man trygt kan opholde sig tæt ved en sø nær Gudenåen. Søen har været genstand for omstrukturering ifm med omlægning sf Gudenåen, men selve arbejdet med store gravemaskiner er ved at være færdigt og generer ikke campisternene. Badning i søen er pt. ikke tilladt. Venligt personale med lille kiosk hvor man kan købe de mest nødvendige ting og gode parkeringsforhold og god plads til autocampere.
