A very modern, large campground. Good on-site amenities. More attention should be paid to the occasional maintenance backlog in the restroom facilities, but it’s still worth recommending.

So we’re on our way home after a decent vacation. We had rented the Vesterhave camper with a spa. Unfortunately, the vacation didn’t start off so well. When we arrived at the camper, it smelled like sewage because the toilet is connected to the sewer system. The camper wasn’t properly cleaned either and was very dusty, so I had to start the vacation by cleaning. It’s a bit of a bummer when you go camping to relax. The cabinets were also dirty, and there were possibly signs of mold. That’s why we chose not to use them for our belongings. On the other hand, the awning was really nice with plenty of space, and the spa was wonderful to use. The outdoor shower with hot water was also really nice. However, we could have used a bit more privacy, as passersby could easily look in. The playground looked worn and could use some TLC as well as weeding. The family rooms in the pool area could also be larger, and unfortunately, some of the facilities were broken. The pool was heated, which was really nice, and there were some fun slides for the kids. Unfortunately, the pool didn’t seem entirely clean, as it was green along the edges and at the bottom. The grocery store had really friendly and helpful staff, which was a major positive experience. However, the store is primarily self-service. Despite the challenges mentioned, we had a lovely vacation overall, and most importantly, our children were happy and had a great time.

Så er vi på vej hjem efter en okay ferie. Vi havde lejet Vesterhave campingvogn med spa. Desværre startede ferien ikke så godt. Da vi ankom til campingvognen, lugtede der af kloak, da toilettet er tilsluttet kloaksystemet. Campingvognen var heller ikke ordentligt rengjort og var meget støvet, så jeg måtte starte ferien med at gøre rent. Det er lidt ærgerligt, når man tager på camping for at slappe af. skabene også beskidte, og der var muligvis tegn på skimmelsvamp. Derfor valgte vi ikke at bruge dem til vores ting. Til gengæld var forteltet rigtig dejligt med masser af plads, og spaen var skøn at benytte. Det var også rigtig rart med udendørsbruseren med varmt vand. Dog kunne vi godt have ønsket lidt mere afskærmning, da forbipasserende nemt kunne kigge ind. Legepladsen virkede slidt og kunne godt trænge til en kærlig hånd samt fjernelse af ukrudt. Familierummene på badeområdet måtte også gerne være større, og nogle af faciliteterne var desværre gået i stykker. Poolen var opvarmet, hvilket var rigtig dejligt, og der var nogle sjove rutsjebaner til børnene. Desværre virkede poolen ikke helt ren, da den var grøn langs kanten og på bunden. Købmanden havde rigtig sødt og hjælpsomt personale, hvilket var en stor positiv oplevelse. Butikken er dog primært selvbetjent. På trods af de nævnte udfordringer havde vi samlet set en dejlig ferie, og vigtigst af alt var vores børn glade og havde det sjovt.

Well—I didn’t get a camping card; they must have forgotten. So I couldn’t use the washing machine... but should I deduct points for that? 0.2 stars! Rounded up, still a 5!
