A top-notch campground with spacious sites in a beautiful setting. There are plenty of things to do in the area. You can buy bread at the front desk, and the pizzas and food truck are also highly recommended. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area!

I don't have much experience with campgrounds, but the small cabins are fine for spending one night in. We used Tolne as a starting point to leave our car and trailer there and continue on by motorcycle.

With our own tent—a glamping experience!
I think everything’s already been said in other recent reviews, but I’ll add one more to confirm it. :)
We spent just under a week at this beautiful campground in a tent after crossing over from Sweden to Frederikshavn. It’s wonderfully green and full of birds. You can choose from cozy grassy … spots, patches of woods, and even a spot next to a little pond at the bottom of one of the little valleys.
During our week there, the campground was very quiet. The restroom facilities are spotless. I’d go so far as to say I’ve never seen such a clean campground, either in the Netherlands or abroad.
There are also outdoor kitchens, washing machines, a dryer, and drying racks. The reception desk is open for long hours. You can order sandwiches there, pick up pizza, buy ice cream and chilled drinks, and on weekends there’s a food truck offering all sorts of things.
We took a few day trips by car from this campground: 30–45 minutes to Skagen and the tip; 45 minutes to Aalborg; and even up to a 1.5-hour drive to Bulbjerg. The surrounding area is great for hiking and biking. Supermarkets are located in the villages 5 to 10 minutes away by car.
You won’t be bothered by the Route 60. There’s very little traffic passing by. And you can sometimes faintly hear the train tracks running alongside the village when the wind is blowing in the right direction. But none of that was bothersome at all. Wij hebben iets minder dan een week op deze prachtige camping gestaan met een tent, nadat we uit Zweden zijn overgestoken naar Frederikshavn. Het is er heerlijk groen met vogeltjes. Je kunt kiezen uit gezellige grasveldjes, stukjes bos en zelfs naast een vijvertje onderin een van de dalletjes.
In onze week was het heel rustig op de camping. De toiletgebouwen zijn brandschoon. Ik durf wel te zeggen dat ik nog nooit zo'n nette camping meegemaakt heb, in Nederland of buitenland.
Verder zijn er ook buitenkeukens, wasmachines, droger en droogrekken. De receptie is lang open. Je kunt er broodjes bestellen, pizza ophalen, ijsjes en gekoelde drankjes kopen en er is in het weekend een foodtruck met van alles.
Wij hebben vanaf deze camping een paar uitstapjes met de auto gemaakt: 30-45 min naar Skagen en de punt; een driekwartier naar Aalborg en zelfs tot 1,5 uur rijden naar de Bulbjerg. In de omgeving kun je mooi wandelen en fietsen. Supermarkten zitten in de dorpjes 5 tot 10 minuten verderop met de auto.
Van de 60-weg heb je geen last. Er komt ook weinig verkeer langs. En de spoorlijn langs het dorp hoor je soms vaagjes als de wind goed staat. Maar dat alles was totaal niet storend. Daar was ik eerst een beetje bang voor. -
