General information

This tastefully decorated safari tent has a living area of about 25 square meters, with standing room in the entire tent and equipped with a lovely spacious terrace with awning.

The completely equipped kitchen has a four-burner thermally protected gas stove and is on wheels that can be moved outside, so you can enjoy cooking outside!

In the back of the tent are two sleeping cabins. One sleeping cabin has a double bed and the other sleeping cabin has a bunk bed.

Outside on the terrace you will find garden furniture and a barbecue.

Location

Ballum Camping is near the Wadden Sea National Park and the widest sandy beach in Europe. On the spacious camping site you can completely relax. Enjoy the silence, listen to the rustling of the wind in the trees and wake up in the morning to the singing birds.

Just 600 km from the Netherlands and only 20 minutes from the Wadden Island of Rømø, with the widest sandy beach in Northern Europe, is Ballum campsite. This quiet and sheltered nature campsite on the edge of the Wadden Sea National Park is a paradise for birdwatchers, hikers and cyclists. Nearby you will find historic towns such as Tønder, Møgeltønder and Ribe. At the campsite there is plenty for the children to do while you enjoy the nature and surroundings.

    Great campsite, helpful and very friendly staff. Clean facilities and at a convenient distance even though we stayed the furthest away. Peace and quiet on site, good activities and especially dogs and children have been given extra attention. Good location in relation to the Wadden Sea, Rømø, Tønder, Ribe etc.

    Skøn campingplads, hjælpsomt og meget venligt personale. Rene faciliteter og i passende afstand selvom vi boede længst væk. Ro på pladsen, gode aktiviteter og især hunde og børn er der tænkt ekstra på. God beliggenhed ift Vadehavet, Rømø, Tønder, Ribe etc.

    Update 07.04.2025 The ACSI card was accepted. 27€ per night. 2 persons, 1 dog, electricity, shower incl. + environmental tax DKK 14 per person. A nice, friendly owner family. The site is clean, quiet and beautifully situated. The pitches are large. There is a playground to keep the kids entertained. The garbage, the waste water, the toilet disposal = well organized. We didn't use the kitchen and recreation room - but they are available and very clean. The sanitary building is clearly laid out and was very clean. There is a fenced exercise area for dogs. The adjacent pond is fenced in and secured. Our dog really enjoyed it. WE FELT AT HOME. WE WOULD LOVE TO COME BACK!!! We were looking for a pitch for 2 nights at short notice (02 - 04.09.2022). Here it was possible without any problems. The ACSI card was accepted. The host family was very nice, friendly and helpful. They speak 4 languages! The site is clean, quiet and in a very scenic location. The pitches are large enough. The fresh bread rolls in the morning are super tasty, there is also delicious pizza - but not in the morning. There is a playground to keep the kids entertained. The garbage, the sewage, the toilet disposal = well organized. We didn't use the kitchen and recreation room - but they are available. The sanitary building is clearly laid out and was always clean. There is an exercise area for dogs. The swimming pond was dry. The dogs enjoyed it anyway. In my opinion, not quite up to date anymore: W-Lan for a fee. But that doesn't change anything: WE HAD A GOOD TIME

    Update 07.04.2025 Die ACSI Karte wurde akzeptiert. 27€ pro Nacht. 2 Personen, 1 Hund, Strom, Dusche incl. + Umweltsteuer 14 DKKpro Person. Eine nette, freundliche Betreiberfamilie. Der Platz ist sauber, ruhig und landschaftlich sehr schön gelegen. Die Stellplätze sind groß. Ein Spielplatz bietet Kids Abwechslung. Der Müll, das Abwasser, die WC Entsorgung = gut organisiert. Die Küche und Aufenthaltes Raum haben wir nicht genutzt - sind aber vorhanden und sehr sauber. Das Sanitärhaus ist übersichtlich gestaltet und war sehr sauber. Für Hunde gibt es eine eingezäunte Auslauf Fläche. Der anliegende Teich ist eingezäunt und extra gesichert. Unserm Hund machte es riesig Spaß . WIR HABEN UNS WOHLGEFÜHL. WIR KOMMEN GERNE WIEDER!!! Wir suchten kurzfristig einen Stellplatz für 2 Nächte (02 - 04.09.2022). Hier war es ohne Probleme möglich. Die ACSI Karte wurde akzeptiert. Die Betreiberfamilie war sehr nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es werden 4 Sprachen gesprochen! Der Platz ist sauber, ruhig und landschaftlich sehr schön gelegen. Die Stellplätze sind ausreichend groß. Die frischen Brötchen am Morgen super lecker, es gibt auch lecker Pizza - aber nicht morgens. Ein Spielplatz bietet Kids Abwechslung. Der Müll, das Abwasser, die WC Entsorgung = gut organisiert. In der Küche und Aufenthaltes Raum waren wir nicht - sind aber vorhanden. Das Sanitärhaus ist übersichtlich gestaltet und war immer sauber. Für Hunde gibt es eine Auslauf Fläche. Der Schwimmteich war ausgetrocknet. Den Hunden machte es trotzdem Spaß. Meiner Ansicht nach nicht mehr ganz zeitgemäß: Kostenpflichtiges W-Lan. Aber das ändert nichts daran: WIR HABEN UNS WOHLGEFÜHL

    A very quiet campsite off the island of Romo. The campsite is much cheaper than those on the island and offers a very good alternative. The drive to the beach, Lakolk Romo, takes about 20-25 minutes by car. The location is very quiet and the place invites you to relax. The staff is very courteous and speaks German. The playground offers children everything they could wish for. We would come back at any time and certainly will.

    Sehr schön ruhig gelegener Campingplatz, vor der Insel Romo. Der Platz ist deutlich günstiger als die auf der Insel und bietet eine sehr gute Alternative. Die Fahrt zum Strand, Lakolk Romo dauert ca 20-25 Minuten, mit dem Auto. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und der Platz lädt zum Entspannen ein. Der Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und spracht deutsch. Der Spielplatz bietet Kinder alles was Sie sich wünschen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen und werden es auch ganz sicher tun.
