A well-maintained campground in a wonderfully peaceful and natural setting.
The restroom facilities are always clean (the operator can’t be held responsible for messes left behind by other guests who don’t know how to behave). The campground offers two kitchens—including a dishwasher that can be used free of charge—cooking facilities with a … wide range of equipment, a freezer (for everyone), and a refrigerator (for tent campers), an excellently maintained playground, plenty of pedal cars for kids, a kiosk with fresh bread rolls and pizza delivery, and a rotating selection of food trucks. A very well-organized trash station. Free activities for kids, such as roasting marshmallows and sports & games. Without exception, the staff are friendly and always have a smile on their faces. The campground is actually nice, but unfortunately it wasn't well-maintained.
The grass was too long, and the restrooms weren't cleaned during the week we were there. The trash was emptied regularly, and the toilet paper was restocked. But unfortunately, they weren't cleaned.

The woman who was at the front desk only from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. spoke very, very poor Danish.
We were in the section for campers with electricity; we had to pay for the hookup three times, even though we were there for three days? And 30 DKK for electricity per day—but it said we were supposed to pay based on the meter? The woman couldn’t … explain that.
While we were at Rundingen, we didn’t receive the member discount as DCU members😦
And only one women’s restroom, one men’s restroom, one women’s shower, one men’s shower, and one shared restroom with a shower were open😦 Read more Show less

A very well-maintained campground with friendly staff.
Beautiful and spacious layout 👍

We spent the last two days of our Scandinavia trip in Ballum and were completely satisfied! It’s a well-designed campground with plenty of activities, especially for kids.
A spacious dog run, a surprisingly small but diverse selection in the shop, and the pizza, which tasted great. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The restrooms, … kitchen, dishwashing area, and common areas are all well-maintained and clean, with no backlog of repairs.

Everything here was very homey, clean, and comfortable. We felt very at home during our nearly 3 weeks here. There’s everything you need here. You can even have your dishes washed in a dishwasher for free if you’d like. Kitchen appliances are available, and a cozy library makes your stay more enjoyable when the weather is bad. As someone with a … gluten intolerance, I was especially pleased that you can order gluten-free rolls, which also taste great. Everyone was very friendly, and whenever there were any issues, a solution was found quickly. The shower and restroom facilities were very clean and comfortable.
