General information

This tastefully decorated safari tent has a living area of about 25 square meters, with standing room in the entire tent and equipped with a lovely spacious terrace with awning.

The completely equipped kitchen has a four-burner thermally protected gas stove and is on wheels that can be moved outside, so you can enjoy cooking outside!

In the back of the tent are two sleeping cabins. One sleeping cabin has a double bed and the other sleeping cabin has a bunk bed.

Outside on the terrace you will find garden furniture and a barbecue.

Just 600 km from the Netherlands and only 20 minutes from the Wadden Island of Rømø, with the widest sandy beach in Northern Europe, is Ballum campsite. This quiet and sheltered nature campsite on the edge of the Wadden Sea National Park is a paradise for birdwatchers, hikers and cyclists. Nearby you will find historic towns such as Tønder, Møgeltønder and Ribe. At the campsite there is plenty for the children to do while you enjoy the nature and surroundings.

Ballum Camping is a peaceful, nature-oriented campsite with spacious pitches, located near the Danish Wadden Sea and a short distance from Rømø. Guests particularly appreciate the friendly Dutch owners who communicate in multiple languages and the very clean sanitary facilities that are regularly maintained. The campsite offers convenient extras such as a dishwasher, bread service, pizza orders and regular food truck visits, while the large playground and fenced dog area delight families and pet owners.

    We stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time! We found even the standard sites to be very spacious. The welcome was very friendly, too. Good amenities. Great bathrooms. It was also great that there was a (fast) dishwasher available, a refrigerator for tent campers, and a freezer in the spacious kitchen with all the necessary amenities. … There’s also a day room, a small playground, a little shop, and more…
    We took a day trip to Rømø because we wanted to spend some time on the beach. It was a fun and unique experience.

    Wij verbleven hier 3 nachten en vonden het hier zalig! De standaard plaatsen vonden wij al heel ruim. Zeer vriendelijk onthaal ook. Goede voorzieningen. Prima sanitair. Ook tof dat er een (snelle) afwasmachine ter beschikking is, een koelkast voor tentcampeerders en een diepvries in de ruime keuken met voorzieningen. Ook een dagruimte, speeltuintje, winkeltje, ....
    We reden 1 dag naar Rømø omdat we eens op het strand wilden gestaan hebben. Leuke en unieke ervaring.

    A beautiful place with everything you need for a relaxing stay.
    The owners are very friendly and helpful.
    The location is fantastic, and the property has been lovingly landscaped.

    We visited the kite festival on Rømø from here. Lakolk Beach is a 20-minute drive away.

    Ein wunderschöner Platz mit allem, was man für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt braucht.
    Die Eigentümer sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit.
    Die Lage ist traumhaft und der Platz ist liebevoll angelegt.

    Wir haben von hier aus das Drachenfest auf Rømø besucht. Den Strand von Lakolk erreicht man mit dem Auto in 20 Minuten.

    Beautiful campground; we had a large XL site. We had plenty of space.
    Friendly welcome, a nice little shop, fresh rolls, pizza delivery, and the occasional food truck on the campground.
    Everything was well-maintained at the campground—highly recommended!
