Dolce Via cycling route.
This 90 km long bicycle tour leads you through the nature of the Ardèche. You will pass through the Eyrieux valley where robust boulders keep the river under control and where small waterfalls make a soothing splashing sound. Along the route you will find nice restaurants and cafes for a break, but also beautiful picnic spots. This makes the bike route also great to do with children.
Chocolate Museum
In the small town of Tain l'Hermitage, be surprised by a chocolate museum. In this interactive museum you will learn all about this delicacy. You will learn about the production of cocoa beans and the Madagascar plantation. And, of course, you have to taste. Scattered throughout the museum you can taste chocolate. I spent one night at this campground. We were camping in a tent near the bar and pool, and it was the worst night of my vacation: a machine ran all night and turned on every 5 minutes with a loud, persistent rumbling noise. On top of that, the pool has very strict rules: you’re not allowed to go in wearing swim shorts?!?; no jumping or diving allowed, even though the pool is big and deep enough for it.
However, the Dutch staff were friendly.this is a translation, click here for the original

Beautiful place, but I’ve never stayed at a campground where kids scream and make so much noise until 10:00 p.m. Since we’re traveling by bike, we stay at a different campground every day, and I’ve never experienced anything like this before. We’ve stayed at 10 different campgrounds already on this vacation, but you definitely shouldn’t come here if you’re looking for peace and quiet. Parents don’t step in—it seems like there are no limits.

The entertainment team was really great! The restaurant looks cozy, with friendly service, but the quality of the pizzas was mediocre (pre-made crusts...).
The restrooms weren’t really clean, and the showers were very outdated. You had to press the button repeatedly.
There were also a lot of people just passing through; it did get a little less busy later in July, but during the first few days it caused a lot of commotion early in the morning, which wasn’t very pleasant and made it harder for the kids to make friends. (Too bad, because I had specifically called to ask if it was a campground for people passing through, and was told it wasn’t.)this is a translation, click here for the original
Animatieteam was echt top!

A very warm welcome from a 100% Dutch and very professional team.
I had a pizza at the restaurant that evening, but well...it’s Dutch-style here too—a pizza crust that was probably store-bought and Emmental cheese instead of mozzarella—but hey, it did the trick. Otherwise, the waitresses are very nice, especially the young French woman, with whom it was obviously easier to connect.
All in all, a lovely placethis is a translation, click here for the original

A rather confusing experience in a Dutch enclave.
As a stopover for bike tourists, it’s just so-so—the site has no shade, and the layout is a bit cramped at a campground that’s pretty packed, since it’s mostly for RVs, so people stay all day and there’s constant foot traffic.
It’s not relaxing or very pleasant, but you have to admit that the restrooms are spotless.
The pool is huge but packed with people.this is a translation, click here for the original
