This small-scale natural campsite is praised for its friendly, hardworking owners Christophe and Christelle who personally welcome guests and provide excellent service. The campsite is located in a beautiful green valley beside a stream where children love to play, with spacious terraced pitches that often offer lovely views. Guests appreciate the clean, modern sanitary facilities, the swimming pool, the restaurant with fresh pizzas and meals, and the relaxed atmosphere with fun activities like bread baking and boat races. The location offers peace and nature, although attractions typically require 30-60 minutes of driving and internet connectivity is limited.

A charming, small-scale campground, ideal for families with children. Very friendly owners, a cozy little restaurant with delicious food, pizza, and a snack bar (reservations required). Nice swimming pool, a fun little playground for the youngest children, but the best entertainment is the little stream and the weekly boat race. The restroom facilities are large enough, with spacious family showers that are always spotless. About a 50/50 mix of French and Dutch visitors, with many children under 10. The campsites along the stream are beautiful and offer plenty of shade, though they were just a bit too cramped for our very large tent (we’ll book the XL site next time). For our taste, there are a bit too many rental accommodations compared to camping sites. It’s clear that sustainability is a top priority, with waste separation and reusable bread bags. All in all, highly recommended!

A charming, family-friendly campground on a human scale (56 sites) surrounded by nature, with plenty of shade and ideally located along a small river. We appreciate the absence of traditional mobile homes in favor of unique accommodations (chalets, domes, lodges, large tents) that blend perfectly into the landscape.
In terms of amenities, it’s every bit on par with a 3-star campground: very few activities (which suited me just fine), clean, modern, and spacious restrooms (the main one is located upstairs in a beautifully renovated barn), and a very pleasant reception/bar/snack area downstairs. Special mention for the bread delivery and pastries available to order—they’re really excellent (only the baguette is just average).
Two minor drawbacks to note:
* Waste management: The bins (compost on one side, recycling and household trash on the other) are located outside the campground, more than 100 meters from the exit. However, containers are available on loan for a deposit to avoid daily trips back and forth.
* The pool: The area is very pleasant, but the lack of supervision means that the rules are rarely followed (particularly the ban on swim shorts, which are everywhere).
Important information regarding the clientele:
In July and August, the campground hosts a clientele that is overwhelmingly Dutch (about 90% during our stay in the first week of August, along with a few Belgians and French). Since the campground is listed with the ANWB, it’s extremely popular with our Dutch neighbors. This isn’t a problem in and of itself, but it’s good to know if you’re looking for a 100% local getaway in the heart of the Cantal region. If you prefer a predominantly French-speaking atmosphere, consider visiting during the off-season (before July or after August).this is a translation, click here for the original

We spent a week in a tent lodge with our family in early July. Everything went well; the campground is very pleasant... The river and the pool are a real plus, as is the bar and restaurant. The managers are friendly. We loved everything! There are some great places to visit in the area. We recommend it 100%.

On recommande à 100%.

It is a beautiful campsite. The lodges are very nice and big. Everything is clean. For young children is perfect to play. You can have a drink and diner next to playground. Even during hot days it is very cool at the brook with cold mountain water and under the many trees. Swimming pool is perfect and clean. In the surrounding area there are nice towns to visit. Nature is beautiful
