Canoe & Kayak at Pont d'Arc and the Gorges de l'Ardèche
Step into a canoe or kayak and experience an unforgettable river adventure through the Ardèche gorges. Glide through the water beneath the impressive natural arch of Pont d’Arc. Ideal for families and lovers of nature and action. Choose a calm route or opt for a longer descent along the impressive rock walls. Along the way there are sandy and pebble beaches where you can take a break, swim, or enjoy the view. Perfect for a warm summer day full of water fun and nature.

Underground discoveries: caves & prehistory
For those who love mystery, history, and underground adventures, a visit to the impressive caves in the region is highly recommended. The Caverne du Pont-d'Arc is a life-size replica of the prehistoric cave with ancient wall paintings — fascinating for children and adults alike. A little further on you'll find the spectacular Aven d'Orgnac, with spacious halls and bizarre stalactites and stalagmites; a true cave spectacle. The Grotte de la Madeleine is also worth a visit: gorges, rock walls, and interactive information about geology and local history await you. An ideal mix of culture, nature, and wonder.
Train rides & vélorail along the Doux Valley
If you want to alternate cycling or hiking with something unique, you can try the adventurous route of the historic steam train Train de l'Ardèche or ride the vélorail through the green Doux Valley. This route starts from a village just a few kilometers from the campsite and goes through forests, over viaducts, and along the water. It's a super fun activity for families with children or older walkers/cyclists. Along the way you pass picturesque villages, peaceful nature, and enjoy beautiful views of the landscape. A relaxing and atmospheric way to experience the Ardèche up close.
Tranquility, culture & gastronomy: villages, wine and countryside
For those who love peace, culture, and good food: the Ardèche is home to charming villages, rural landscapes, and local gastronomy. Stroll through narrow streets of historic villages, taste local wines from the vineyards in the region, or discover farm shops with regional products such as cheeses and chestnuts. Combine a peaceful hike with a visit to a wine tasting or a local market — perfect for couples, families with older children, or lovers of the French lifestyle. An ideal way to combine culture, nature, and relaxation.

We had a great experience, thanks to a box. We tested the carpet lodge precisely. 5 days of change of scenery and peace and quiet, as the campsite is located in a confusing natural area on the banks of the river. Its pitches are large and offer a wide range of very original accommodation. We'll be back for more.

We arrived a little early to ask if we could eat on site while waiting for access to the accommodation, but before we could even finish our sentence, she cut us off aggressively, saying that it only opened at 3pm and that we should read the e-mail she'd sent us, even though we were right in front of her, on site... total arrogance and contempt for customers, which confirms the other negative reviews. In view of the brief experience we had, the positive comments must have come from people close to them: no sense of welcome at all! We therefore decided to cancel the reservation and go elsewhere.

A real favorite! ❤️ We loved everything about it: the incredibly warm welcome from the hosts, the beauty of the surroundings, the impeccable cleanliness, the soothing calm and the quality of the food. Everything came together for an ideal stay to recharge our batteries. The region is magnificent, and there are plenty of beautiful walks and discoveries to be made following the hosts' good advice. The two weeks flew by far too quickly... Our yurt, perfectly arranged and tastefully decorated, offered us total comfort. A special mention for Patapouf 🐾 who enjoyed bathing almost every day - it's a real pleasure that dogs are welcome! We leave with wonderful memories and just one wish: to come back! - Emmanuel, Anouck & Patapouf

— Emmanuel, Anouck & Patapouf
