Huttopia Bozel en Vanoise

Super 2,5 week gekampeerd op deze mooie camping aan een mooie fris riviertje. Hele mooie omgeving met allemaal ski liften waarmee je op mooie hoogtes komt. Mooi meer in de buurt en speeltuinen voor de kinderen. Met een pump track voor jong en oud. Naast de camping een mooi uitdagend klimpark. En op de camping hele vriendelijke mensen. Met leuke avonden met googelshows, live muziek en wedstrijdjes bijl gooien. We komen graag nog eens terug!

3e expérience en Huttopia, nous avons aimé l'emplacement et la piscine mais nous n'avions jamais vu une telle concentration de Hollandais, 80% environ. Les enfants n'ont pas pu se faire de copains car il y avait tres peu de francophones. La seule activité à laquelle nous avons participé, l'animatrice passé son temps à tout traduire en anglais. La personne a la reception m'a dit que c'était toujours occupé majoritairement par des Hollandais. Très calme sinon. La tente canadienne était bien équipée et confortable, nous étions tout en haut (emplacement 109), soleil le soir et sanitaires pas loin. Location de VTT et accrobranche à 2 pas

Mooie camping. Niet al te groot. De kinderen werden goed ontvangen bij de georganiseerde activiteiten (erg goed; mede dankzij de vaste begeleidster die dit voortreffelijk deed). Ook voor volwassenen enkele activiteiten mogelijk. Vriendelijk personeel. Mooie natuurlijke omgeving. Minpuntje: na zwemmen in het meer moet je goed afdouchen. Anders krijg je zwemmerseczeem (kleine jeukende bultjes;lijkt op muggenbulten).

We were supposed to stay at the campsite for ten days but we left three days early due to the poor condition of the campsite. Since we went three days early we wanted a discount but they wouldn't give it to us. The campsite is in very poor condition and the toilets are very dirty. In addition to the fact that the toilets are dirty, there are also very few of them. When we showered there was always cold water. We didn't feel safe at the campsite as there is no barrier in front of the campsite or cameras around the campsite (some of our belongings were stolen). We had to walk almost 1km for the rubbish. Our campsite had almost no shade and there were a lot of holes.

We had a great 10 days camping in our trailer tent at this site. We booked a 'Nature Plus' pitch which was situated right on the Dorron river. The pitch was fine, situated beneath some lovely pines affording excellent shade (was ~30C for the first 7 days). There were some associated roots/unevenness but was expected as this is a mountain campsite not a plush greenfield site. Staff were friendly and accommodating (even handling a delivery of an urgent road bike part very kindly). Good onsite facilities (pizzas are ok, bar service is good, good events for young children, small laundrette etc). Entertainment was pitched just right - great acoustic cover bands for a couple of nights in the week rather than pumping euro techno like some sites insist on! The pool area is fine - as other reviewers and the Huttopia themselves indicate - wear flip flops on the pool deck to avoid splinters. The overall feel of the site was relaxed and family oriented, it was nice and quiet in the evenings and the white noise from the river is brilliant! The location of the site is fantastic, right below Courcheval in the Dorron valley. There are some unbeatable hiking/running/mountain biking trails directly accessible from the campsite. The lake in Bozel (a short 5 minute walk) is excellent for swimming/paddleboarding. The road cycling is brilliant - easy to get to foot of Col de la Loze from both Courcheval and Meribel sides (its tough!) and other TDF routes. We recommend the Bozel Adventure for some tree top zip lines/accrobranch fun which is 2 minutes walk from the campsite. Our only suggestion for improvement is there perhaps could be more shower facilities lower down the site (which is served by a small octagon shower building - there are better showers at the top of the site) and a few more water points (all the taps provide drinking water but difficult to fill large water containers easily without walking to the campervan service area Overall we had a brilliant stay and would look to use Huttopia again.
