Beach Day at the Emerald Coast
Within less than half an hour’s drive, you can reach the beautiful Emerald Coast of Brittany. Here, you’ll find a varied coastline with wide sandy beaches, small coves, and rugged cliffs. Because of the large difference between low and high tide, the landscape is constantly changing, creating perfect spots to play, search for shells, and explore. Perfect for a relaxing beach day with the whole family.

Stroll through Dol-de-Bretagne and surroundings
A short distance from the campsite lies the charming town of Dol-de-Bretagne. Wander through the historic center with its half-timbered houses, visit the impressive cathedral, and enjoy the peaceful Breton atmosphere. In the surrounding area, you'll find small villages, green landscapes, and local markets where you can taste regional products. A lovely place for a relaxing outing close to the campsite.
Cycling along the Breton coast
The surroundings of Camping Le Bois Coudrais are ideal to explore by bike. From the campsite, you can cycle straight through the rolling Breton landscape towards the coast. A popular route runs from Mont Saint-Michel to Saint-Malo, taking you past beaches, cliffs, and charming villages. Along the way, you can enjoy stunning views of the sea and stop at cozy terraces where you can take a break. Thanks to the relatively flat landscape, cycling here is accessible to both young and old. Whether you take a short ride or plan a longer route, the combination of nature, coast, and culture makes every bike ride special.
Visit Bourbansais zoo & castle
This castle with gardens, an animal park, and a bird of prey show is located about half an hour's drive from the campsite. Here, you can discover more than 400 animals from all over the world, from giraffes and lions to exotic birds. The park is easy to navigate and therefore ideal for a relaxing day with the family. Very lovingly designed, green, and spacious. Claire and her husband are very nice and have thought of everything: a great pool, goats and chickens, fresh bread rolls 6 days a week, a small snack bar, delicious wine, and clean showers with plenty of places to hang your things. We had a wonderful stay—merci beaucoup!

The lawn is very bumpy—I’ve almost sprained my ankle a few times already. The restrooms are okay, though there aren’t quite enough for the number of sites; the sandwich service is good; it’s nice to be able to order burgers and fries; the pool is great for cooling off on a day when it’s over 30°C; it’s also nice that all small purchases for sandwiches, ice cream, and so on can be settled at the end of your stay; it’s really great that you can just communicate in English

Our experience: beautiful location, spacious sites, friendly campers. We didn’t see the campground owners on the grounds. The staff at the front desk were friendly. It’s a real shame that you can only pay on the day of departure. That means you can’t leave early. The restroom building is in dire need of renovation. And there are far too few toilets and showers for the number of campers. It would be nice to have a higher toilet and non-slip tiles in the accessible restroom and shower. We find the price per night to be very high, especially since people with disabilities can’t use the pool: you can’t get through the gate in a wheelchair, and there’s no proper step to get in and out of the water.

Onze ervaring: mooie ligging, ruime plaatsen, fijne campinggasten.
