Saint-Malo
Saint-Malo was founded in the 12th century and was long the residence of pirates. Later it grew into an important port and today the city is a tourist attraction. From the "walls" leading from the bastion to the tower, you can see the city's narrow streets on one side and a beautiful view of the beaches, port and forts on the other. Paved streets, filled with stores and terraces, run through the historic downtown. The city has its own fort, Fort National, which can be visited at low tide since it is located on an island. Château de la duchesse Anna is now a museum and depicts sea fishing and piracy.

Visit the medieval town of Dinan
A 25-minute drive from the campground is the medieval town of Dinan. With almost 3 kilometers of ramparts and the 14th century castle, the city, which sits on an 80-meter high plateau, towers over the valley of the Rance. Its perfectly preserved old houses and winding streets immediately put you in the medieval atmosphere. Stroll through Rue du Jerzual and the historic center, where you will find quaint workshops, glassblowers and restaurants. Descend to the old port, which is a nice setting for a stroll. Visit the Basilica Saint-Sauveur with its different architectural styles and, of course, Dinan's castle.
Forest of Villecartier
The Forest of Villecartier is an old royal forest of 1,000 hectares full of magnificent beeches and oaks. You will find many trails that take you past the pond, small monuments and impressive trees. Children can enjoy playing, tree climbing and even take a tree climbing course. Sit down at one of the picnic tables and enjoy the peace and natural beauty around you.
Ill-et-Rance canal
The 89 km Ill-et-Rance Canal offers plenty of opportunities where you can enjoy nature. Take a lovely morning walk along the water or get on your bike. The canal is the perfect place to cast your rod for an afternoon of fishing. For those looking for a little more adventure, you can rent a kayak or canoe to take out on the water. You can drive there in half an hour.

The park is praised for its friendly staff and clean facilities, especially the heated swimming pool and spacious pitches. Guests appreciate the beautiful, tranquil location by the château and the welcoming kids' animation. The restaurant serves delicious pizzas and the central courtyard offers a relaxed atmosphere. Some visitors note that the sanitary facilities could be cleaned more thoroughly and that service can occasionally feel stiff during peak times.

At first glance, the campground seemed really nice. Not very big, with pretty nice facilities—a pool and a decent-sized wading pool—all set in a farmhouse!! Once we’d set up camp and pitched our tents, though, things got complicated!
You can only get fries in the evening—the takeout service doesn’t open until 5:00 PM
As for pastries and … baked goods, you have to order them the day before. Since I tend to go with the flow on vacation, it’s a shame but not a big deal—and you can still ask at the bar if you happen to miss the reception desk’s opening hours to make a reservation
A lot of the campsites are in the sun; if you’re looking for shade, try bringing along a very tall person and have them stand there!
But where the problem is huge is the sense of omnipotence among a small group of young Northern Europeans (ages 10–15) who call the shots at this campground! The manager pretended to be reassuring—though he’d have to actually answer “YES” firmly when asked, “Will you answer if we call you tonight?” Too bad—feeling unsafe on vacation is unacceptable, and no one is going to threaten me or my loved ones. The police have been notified, and I called the manager back to let him know that we have no intention of taking the law into our own hands, given his lack of involvement and control. The role of manager is still a bit too big for him to handle this kind of problem. This little gang probably hasn’t vandalized or threatened enough for management to take any concrete action! There’s little chance we’ll be back—I won’t stand for this lack of professionalism!
Too bad, because the Hommair group had been great up until then!! And I mean really, really great!!

The campground has a nice gym for weight training, a great play area for kids, the staff is very friendly, and the bar is cozy and feels like a downtown bar.
On the downside, the entertainment options are a bit lacking for such a nice campground.
The grounds lacked shade; there isn’t enough vegetation.
We had decided to return the … following year because of the positives, but there’s a major issue that makes any future stay out of the question.
Residents whose children physically threatened our children, and whose children threatened to come by at night to take revenge on our site and vandalize it…
This did not seem to bother the young manager in charge, who told us he might not be reachable by phone at night in case of a problem.
In fact, the residents in question have caused multiple instances of damage at this campground, but this young manager doesn’t want to make a fuss about it.
Another family received the same threats against one of their children.
This incident illustrates the policy that’s been put in place.
I don’t know if it’s the policy of the Homair company.
The campground staff did what they could, and I wish them the best of luck with these residents.
