Visit the astronomy center in Nançay
A few kilometers from the park stands the Grand Radiotelescope of Nançay, one of the largest radio telescopes in the world. The observatory is affiliated with the University of Orléans and welcomes visitors at the Géospace visitor center. There you can learn how astronomers study the universe with an antenna measuring 200 by 40 meters. A rare opportunity to see science on a large scale up close.

Cycle along the ponds of Sologne
Sologne has more than 3,000 ponds, and by bike you can pass the most beautiful ones. Rent a bike in Nançay or Salbris and follow the signposted cycling routes, which lead through forests and along bodies of water. The route towards Salbris is flat and easy to ride, with stops in small villages where you can put together a picnic at the local bakery. You are halfway back and have already seen more trees than in an entire year.
Adventure and family outings in the area
There is plenty to do around the campsite for families and adventurers. Just 3 kilometers away is a 6-hectare adventure park with treetop courses among the trees, paintball, and activities for young and old. Fancy a day of water fun? The Salamander swimming pool in Salbris, 15 km away, has slides, play areas, and an outdoor beach for warm summer days. For an unforgettable day trip, visit ZooParc de Beauval, about an hour's drive from the campsite. This world-famous zoo is among the most beautiful in Europe and is home to more than 35,000 animals, including giant pandas, koalas, and Tasmanian devils. Ideal for a day full of nature, relaxation, and adventure with the whole family.
Culture and history in the Sologne
Lovers of art and heritage can make wonderful trips in the area. A short distance from the campsite lies the impressive Galerie Capazza, a unique exhibition space of 2,000 m² where you can discover contemporary art in all kinds of forms, from painting and sculpture to ceramics and glassware. The Château de la Ferté-Saint-Aubin, about 40 kilometers away, is also worth a visit. This atmospheric family castle has been inhabited for more than 350 years and is located in the middle of a beautiful 50-hectare park. During your visit, you will not only discover the rich history of the estate, but you will also contribute to the restoration of this special heritage. An ideal combination of culture, history and nature during your holiday.

I only camped here for 1 night, the showers are nice. Definitely a forest vibe when you are in a tent, a lot of trees, a lot of shade? There was also a squirrel hopping by :)
The lady at the reception was very kind and talked English too. -

A campground with a true sense of nature. Spacious sites surrounded by pine trees. No noise disturbances.
The staff was very welcoming despite our late arrival.
The restrooms are a bit “old school” but very clean.
The layout is unique, with direct access to the soccer field, but this didn’t cause any disturbances.
Very good value for the price.
We recommend it.this is a translation, click here for the original
