We loved our stay here - super friendly staff, a great location, fantastic activities and unique but practical accommodation. We thought the food could be improved and besides beautiful walking and cycling routes, there isn't a great deal to explore nearby but overall, we would highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

After a huge disappointment at the Huttopia at Lac d’Aureillhan last year, we decided to give a new one a try. And we weren’t disappointed. A big shout-out to this little slice of paradise! A truly rejuvenating retreat surrounded by nature. The accommodation—a “Toronto Plus” cabin—was perfect for a family of five (kids ages 4 to 13). It was equipped just right, with a grill available and an absolutely gorgeous terrace. There are charming little rowboats for cruising on the small lake dotted with water lilies. Some activities require an extra fee, but there’s a wide variety to choose from. We tried the horse-drawn carriage ride, archery, the eco-farm, massage, the forest spa, fishing, and biking. Everything was top-notch. Charming staff and a relaxed atmosphere.
One minor downside: the assistant manager wasn’t always friendly, and during the movie night, the staff monopolized an entire sofa, leaving no room for guests. Other than that, we truly loved our stay.
We can’t wait to come back!

Our favorite Huttopia for several years now! The site is magical—we used to spend our weekends there when we lived in the Paris region. We now live in Denmark and chose to spend two weeks of our vacation there in early July: the first thing to note is that we didn’t even notice the heat wave! The forest and the pond make the site exceptionally sheltered; the days were pleasant and the nights downright cool (trees are definitely our only possible future); the extra comfort provided by the two pools is a real luxury.

Furthermore, we’ve seen several teams come and go over the years, and this one certainly didn’t disappoint! Morgane and Benjamin, who took over management this year (2026), were always attentive and available. Adèle, the little ray of sunshine in charge of activities, won over the hearts of our children, Gaspard, 8, and Aurèle, 5: thank you for hiring someone who truly loves children, who has positive energy to share with them, and who knows how to connect with them—it means the world to us! The entire team was also very cheerful and friendly—thank you to Léonie, Émeline, Etienne… and everyone else whose first names we don’t know but whose smiles meant just as much.

As for the outside contributors, we’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity we had to meet passionate people—guardians of rare skills and key figures in local life: Virginie from the Digny eco-retreat, who guided us in clay modeling, and Régis in basket weaving—true gems of humanity and moments of connection frozen in time.

Finally, we greatly appreciated the food, the quality of which has improved significantly! Being able to eat well at your vacation spot without having to cook every day greatly enhances the experience! Delicious open-faced sandwiches (we especially loved the one with grilled vegetables and the burrata/tomato sandwich, drizzled with a touch of olive oil and a dash of balsamic vinegar), an incredibly tasty vegetarian burger.

Our only regret is that we didn’t have access to this dining option sooner (it opened on July 6). The same goes for the activities: they’re essential—they’re what give each Huttopia its soul, rather than it being just a chain of beautiful natural sites.

Here’s a suggestion that would align with the spirit of community we love to find there and with the sensible management of resources: We’d like to see a donation box, for example outside near the front desk, where we could leave non-perishable food items and perhaps toys we no longer need when we leave—items that could bring joy to future campers.
