Discover the historic heart of Nancy
Nancy is just a few minutes from the campsite and is one of the most beautiful cities in eastern France. Stroll across the impressive Place Stanislas, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and admire the elegant architecture that made the city famous. Visit Parc de la Pépinière for a relaxing walk among the greenery or discover the many shops, cafés and restaurants in the historic centre. Nancy combines history, culture and conviviality, making it an ideal destination for a day out during your holiday.

Walking and cycling in the Forêt de Haye
Rent a bike and ride or walk through the expansive Forêt de Haye, one of the largest forest areas in the region. Here you will find numerous walking and cycling trails that take you through peaceful woods, clearings and nature reserves full of flora and fauna. Whether you choose a relaxing stroll with the family or a longer bike ride, the surroundings offer plenty of opportunities to be active in nature. Along the way, you will come across various picnic areas and viewpoints where you can take a break.
Art Nouveau and culture in Nancy
Nancy is known worldwide as one of the most important centers of Art Nouveau. A visit to the Musée de l’École de Nancy shows how artists and designers at the beginning of the twentieth century developed a completely new style that is still visible in the city today. The famous Villa Majorelle is also one of the highlights and offers a wonderful glimpse into this artistic period. For even more culture, you can visit the Musée des Beaux-Arts, where works from different centuries are exhibited. In addition, stroll through the historic city center and admire the many façades, squares, and monuments that give Nancy its special character. The combination of art, architecture, and history makes the city an excellent destination for a cultural day trip.
Wine tasting and admiring religious buildings
Within thirty kilometers of the campsite, there are several historic places well worth a visit. Discover Toul, for example, known for its impressive Gothic cathedral and the surrounding vineyards of the Côtes de Toul. Here you can taste local wines and enjoy the rolling landscape. Pont-à-Mousson is also highly recommended thanks to the beautiful Abbey of Prémontrés, one of the most beautiful religious buildings in the region. Stroll through atmospheric streets, visit local markets and get to know the gastronomy of Lorraine. The combination of heritage, wine culture and authentic villages makes for a varied outing full of history, regional products and beautiful views.

Park 2545 is conveniently located near Nancy with good bus connections and is appreciated for its spacious, shaded pitches and green, peaceful atmosphere. Guests praise the friendly staff at reception and cleaning services, as well as the covered swimming pool and reasonably priced restaurant. However, sanitary facilities are a major concern: guests complain about outdated, insufficient and often dirty amenities, inconsistent hot water supply and maintenance shortcomings.

A nice place with very dirty restroom facilities. A sign reads: “Last cleaning, July 10, 2026.”
Today is September 15, 2026.
Some of the sink drains are clogged. The urinals have been removed. The soap dispensers are empty, and you should bring a flashlight if you plan to shower in the evening, since only the night light is on.this is a translation, click here for the original
Schöner Platz mit sehr schmutzigen Sanitäreinrichtungen. Auf einer Tafel steht: Last cleaning, 10.07.2026.
Heute ist der 15.09.2026.
Die Abflüsse der Waschbecken sind teilweise verstopft. Urinale demontiert. -

Nice campground. Numbered sites, though some of the numbers are hard to find, which causes a lot of traffic as people search for them. The staff at the front desk is polite, but they don’t provide any further information—for example, where the waste disposal area is, which restroom building is open, where and when the bus to Nancy leaves, or how … to buy bus tickets. (For French people, this might be obvious, but for foreigners, it’s not clear), and information on bike paths (the website explicitly mentions bike tours). It’s a shame—especially for a campground that people mainly visit to sightsee in Nancy—that such information isn’t provided, as it would be a great service that you automatically receive at other city campgrounds.

Netter Campingplatz.

We booked this campground for one night, six weeks in advance. We had reserved a campsite with private restroom facilities. Two weeks before our arrival date and after payment, we received an email stating that something had gone wrong—it wasn’t possible to provide private restroom facilities. There were two options: cancel and get a refund, or … take a standard site and be reimbursed for the price difference. We chose the latter, but to this day we haven’t received any refund. In fact, they aren’t even responding to emails about this! We’ve now sent multiple emails in Dutch, French, and German, with zero response. Outrageous!
On top of that, there was no spot for us upon arrival, despite having made a reservation, and we only managed to secure a spot after insisting. We really had made a reservation—we had the confirmation and had paid! And we drove for 8 hours with 3 children and a 6-week-old baby.
On these two points, they are extremely UNRELIABLE. Not to mention the limited, dirty restroom facilities and the fact that all the food was sold out.this is a translation, click here for the original
