Summary created out of 249 reviews

The campsite is ideally located for visits to Versailles and Paris, with the train station 10-15 minutes' walk away and excellent connections to the city centre. Guests appreciate the wooded, natural character of the site with plenty of shade, and praise the friendly and helpful staff. The sanitary facilities are regularly described as clean and functional, with hot water and heated spaces. The swimming pool and restaurant (especially pizzas) are popular amenities, as are the bread service and games activities for children. Areas for improvement include the often small, steep and uneven pitches that can be difficult to access, the high price, and mixed experiences with cleanliness and maintenance of sanitary facilities and electricity supply.

We stayed here with the intention of visiting Paris, as well as the Palace of Versailles.
A major negative point regarding transportation: The website states that it takes 30 minutes to reach Paris, but we weren’t informed that from mid-July through the entire month of August, the RER is suspended for maintenance. As a result, the travel time to Paris increased to at least 1 hour and 30 minutes, if not longer, depending on the places we wanted to visit. We had to get up early at 6:00–6:30 a.m. to arrive on time at 9:00 a.m. at the museums we’d booked well in advance.
The campground is very pleasant, with plenty of trees; the sites are a bit bumpy but acceptable, and the restrooms are well-maintained, in adequate numbers, and always clean.
The reception staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.
The staff at the bar, on the other hand, was a completely different story: the service was extremely sparse, with very little to no choice when it came to snacks, and the staff was incompetent and borderline rude.
The market was practically nonexistent—just two small shelves with very few items. It would be honest not to mention this service on the website.
    The pizzas were good.
I wouldn’t return for the same reason—to visit Paris—under these public transportation conditions.

Great location for visiting the Palace of Versailles. Very friendly staff. Delicious food (pizza). The croissants aren't very good—they taste like cardboard. Good play area for kids.
Unfortunately, there was no hot water in washhouse No. 3 for two days. Some of the walkways between the vehicle-accessible roads on the campground are very run-down. The swimming pool is large but not very clean; some of the handrails at the entrance are loose. There aren’t enough lounge chairs in the pool area, and many are broken.

A great campground if you’re visiting Versailles or Paris, but if it were up to us, really just for a couple of nights (which is what a lot of people do!). We didn’t think the value for the price was quite right. It was also a very dusty campground, so we were really glad this was our last stop. Everything is covered in dust and sand.
The number of showers, restrooms, and dishwashing stations was really too few for the number of people, so there was often a line. But the quality of the showers and water pressure for dishwashing and showering, etc., was also mediocre in the section where we were staying. They did clean, but was it thorough? Meh… For example, the same stain was on the toilet for three days straight…

It’s quiet in the evenings starting at 11 p.m., but keep in mind that trains run starting at 6 a.m. and you can hear them clearly (we were in a tent).

We’ll probably come back for a stopover, but we won’t stay for five days again.
